"Kellie!" Matt yelled. "It's me! Your brother! Here in the dip."
Instead of indicating she might have heard him, she took the bowl in her hands.
"Enjoy!" Kellie told her guests as she returned to the living room and placed the bowl of dip on the coffee table.
Matt stared up at several of his sister's friends. They all looked impossibly huge.
Several enormous hands reached for some chips and began scooping dip.
The first scoop also removed the spider stuck in the dip with tiny Matt.
"Oh, gross, no!" Matt tried to warn the unlucky diner. "Don't eat that!"
He saw the tiny spider disappear into a huge mouth. The huge girl ate dip, chip and spider in one great bite.
Matt felt sick. Not only because he had seen someone eat something as revolting as a spider, but because he could be eaten next if he didn't find a way out of the bowl.
