For a split-second, Matt felt as if the world around his had stopped moving completely. Andy's billboard face stared down at him and Matt was ambivalent. Should he run? Or would his best friend recognize him?
Matt held out for more than a terrifying second on the latter before it was proved wrong. Andy's immense voice proclaimed, hundreds of thousands of feet above him, like some kind of a god, "Stupid bug."
Matt's brain barely had time to feel the pain that Andy's deep voice caused to his own tiny ears. Mixed dissapointment and fear swirled around Matt and then he was off -- sprinting as fast he could in the opposite direction.

Andy laughed, watching the specksized bug flee. It had barely covered an inch before Andy lifted his Adidas sneakers and slammed them onto the ground. The bug faltered or fell - it was too small, Andy couldn't tell. But he knew how much this lab meant to his friend and how clean he always kept it --
"You're going down, bug," he said, chuckling.

Matt rubbed at his leg, which had sustained a bruise from falling on the ground hard. How could his friend do this to him? Already, Andy was beginning to seem less like a pal and more like a gargantuan creature. Andy's shoe, alone, seemed large enough to stomp out Matt's existence.
Speak of the devil! Just as Matt's thoughts left Andy's Adidas, they slammed down in front of him. Matt ignored the pain in his thigh and dived left, only to run into Andy's other shoe, just yards ahead. He dared to look up - only for a second - to see Andy's epic hand coming down on him. He would crush him in a second and never even know!
Matt was almost certain that his friend would help him if he could discover him. But there was no way to get to him from here. He would have to try again, but first he had to make Andy think he wasn't a bug, or at least get away!
