Greg was very confident.
"I know how to manage my weight." he told his friends. "I am going to eat healthy and work out my upper body."
Mike was very busy with football and keeping up with his studies over the next month but finally he met up with his friends Greg and Reese and they got together over a pizza. Both of his friends were already deep into a large pizza by the time Mike arrived.
"Hey, save some for me." he shouted to his friends. He patted Reese's well padded shoulder and pulled up a chair. Reese smiled at Mike and pushed the pizza toward him.
"Chow down," he replied, "There is another on the way."
Reese eyed his old friend.
"Have you made linebacker yet."
Mike sucked in his gut which was now way past the sixpack he had started the season with.
"Not yet, but I have packed on a few more pounds." Mike inhaled a slice of pizza. "I can't stop eating and even with football practise the weight is staying." He ate alother slice and turned to Greg.
"Hows the weight training going," he asked.
Greg's eyes lite up with pleasure.
"It is going great." He flexed his arm displaying his well-developed bicep. He grabbed the last piece of pizza and savored the meat-covered slice.
"Where is that second pizza?" he complained to Reese. "You got most of the first one, fatboy."
Mike looked at Greg and asked. "What about the healthy eating? "
Greg smiled sheepishly. "This is a splurge day. Most of the time I eat salads and lean chicken but once in a while I just have to cut loose."
He stretched his arms and leaned back in his chair, the expansion of his muscular shoulders and chest pulled his t-shirt up revealing
