This choice: The device is their only hope, and their mom isn't safe where she stands! • Go Back...Chapter #6The device is their only hope, and their mom is... by: Marcinballa   Over the course of several minutes, the two brothers discussed their next course of action. At the end of the conversation, they decided it was most important to get to their mom, as she was vulnerable in the open while Sara was currently safe.
Ben and Mike began to trek towards where they last saw their mother. As they approached the general area, they noticed the massive size device which had shrunken all of them on the floor. After originally thinking it was broken, a quiet buzzing was emitting from the machine, indicating it was still somewhat active. After inspecting the giant device, they boys saw their mother on the floor crying.
"Mom!" the brothers yelled, and ran towards her. Despite their current situation, it was comforting to know that their loving mother was there with them.
"Ben! Mike!" their mother screamed as she embraced them. She broke down into tears some more, just being happy that her children were "okay." "Did that machine shrink you, too?"
"Yeah," Ben paused. "And Sara too."
Panic covered there mom's face. "Oh god, what happened? I didn't crush her did I?" Her face went white.
"No she's fine, she's over by her stuffed lion," Ben explained, opting not to tell her that their mother was the one who threw her there. She was going through enough right not, best not to let her know that.
"Do you think we can try to grow back, mommy?" asked Mike.
"Well, it's the best option we have right now honey," their mom replied, trying to sound calm.
As they walked over to the size device, the floor began to quake. Down the stairs walked the children's titanic father and husband of Dana, Frank. "Hello...", Frank's voice echoed throughout the basement. Dana, Ben and Mike looked up in awe at the family's patriarch.
The boys jumped up and down waving their hands. Trying to get their giant dad's attention. Dana realized this could be dangerous. "Boys, stop!" she screamed and grabbed them both.
"But mom," Mike whined.
"Shhhh," Dana sternly responded. "Your father loves you very much, but he might think you're a bug."
Meanwhile, Frank was confused as to why no one was in the basement. "Huh," Frank shrugged as he turned away.
