Buttercup and Bubbles first realized all this when the Powerpuff Girls had their 15th birthday.
It was a beautiful summers day, and what looked like the whole of Townsville had turned up to honor the Powerpuff girls on their birthday. At least it seemed that way, certainly it did seem that Townsville in it's entirety had indeed turned up, but they weren't all there to honor ALL the Powerpuff Girls. No, in actual fact about 3 quarters of the guests were there because of Blossom. Blossom was by far the most popular girl of the 3, and this was because many people saw her as 'perfect'. They thought she had perfect looks (she was a real stunner, with long red hair, beautiful big eyes, and a face fit for a super model), a perfect body (perfectly slender), a perfect mind (she was extremely clever), in fact perfect full stop.
Not to say that Buttercup and Bubbles weren't good looking, they were both just as beautiful as Blossom, but many people didn't even notice them anyway. Blossom was always at the front, she was always the leader and therfore always got the most exposure.
When the girls hit 17, Bubbles and Buttercup had officially had enough. They had devised a plan, and that plan involved the entity of terror itself... Him!
Buttercup and Bubbles set off to Him's fortress one silent night when Blossom was asleep. Him knew they were coming. Him knew they were coming because he had devised most of the plan himself.
"Were you followed?" Him asked quickly, before Buttercup or Bubbles could speak.
"No no, don't worry" Buttercup said reasurringly
"Yeah. Anyway lets get this show on the road" Bubbles said in her usual feminine, almost squeaky voice.
