Back in the lab, Bob was sure that Hailey was dead. There was correlating "pocket reserves" detected. She was gone, and would later be memorialized at the institution.
Hailey was anything but dead. If she had been concious, she would have seen tiny strings vibrating around her, the very building blocks of the universe.
In a century, the part of the universe would be formally known as the Haileyverse, in her honor. For by shrinking her down to this size, Bob had acidentally made one of the greatest discoveries ever made. A discovery that would eventually allow man to conquer the stars and live for centuries. It was all done overnight, but Bob had stumbled across the first step of that road.
But back to Hailey floating in the Haileyverse (or the nanaverse as some called it, subverse as others did).
In centuries future, men and women with deadly ailments would be cast into the Haileyverse, and guided by a strong, conscious mind, come out whole.
Hailey's mind was anything but conscious, but a part of her subconscious, that had been indoctrinated since birth what the perfect woman looked like, molded the Haileyverse, and her body changed. The breasts grew a cup, becoming fuller and perkier. Her hips flared and her muscle tone increased, while remaining sleek. Her auburn hair grew out until tresses trailed down to the small of her back and between her ample but firm breasts.
In the future men would traverse the Haileyverse, emerging at their destinations with great load of equipment for settlers or foodstuffs for cities that were planet wide.
Hailey's mind had no control over the point she would emerge from the Haileyverse, and when she did emerge, her mind had forgotten about her clothing, and it ceased to exist. Somewhere, though, two words kept reappearing in her subconscious mind. She had no control over her final destination, but she did appear there six inches in high in all her natural glory. Hailey would finally emerge back into the "regular" universe in the room of
