Prince Hector is silent for a few seconds. The majesties sense something brewing under his charming demeanor.
"Just where does that leave me, your majesties?" Prince Hector asks, clearly quite peeved.
Edward and Jasmine are at a loss for words, finally King Edward speaks.
"Hector, I understand why this would upset you-"
"Do you? Do you really?" Hector interrupts. "I wish to be married to Isabelle as soon as possible. I think the two of you understand the urgency...or DO YOU NOT?" Prince Hector replies, his throaty voice raised. "Your majesties, we had a deal. I've upheld my end of our pact, have I not?"
"Yes Hector, but we won't speak of that right now." Queen Jasmine says.
"On the contrary my lady, LET'S SPEAK OF IT RIGHT NOW!"
"Hector that's quite enough!" King Edward yells sternly.
"No, no, no. This isn't enough! But do you know what was?" Hector yells at the both of them.
They say nothing.
"The hefty monetary donation I gave to your palace for your daughter's hand! You've recieved my donation...but am I married?"
"Hector--"
"Either have my complete donation back to me tonight or have my future wife to me tonight. Those are your options...NO MORE NEGOTIATIONS."
Hector leaves the room, and Edward and Jasmine talk amongst themselves.
Hector walks out of the palace and into the nearby forest. He comes to the old familiar tree and claps. There is static. "Radigan?" he calls, longingly.
There is no answer.
"Oh, Radigan?" he calls once more.
"Prince Hector...is it really you...crawling back to me after all of these years?" Radigan's voice answers from very far away.
"Yes indeed. I know I said after our last 'business venture' that I'd contact you soon, but i haven't really come across any attractive conquests...until recently."
There is no answer from deep inside the tree. Prince Hector wonders if Radigan lost his connection to it.
Finally: "I'm listening..."
"You're at war with King Edward correct?"
"Yes," Radigan answers, his interest aroused.
"I want his daughter to be my wife...yet she's been slightly hesitant."
"You want me to help you and-"
"In return, I'll help you." Hector finishes.
Prince Hector smiles.
"Why the great rush on your marriage, Prince Hector?" Radigan asks.
"I must have a child as soon as possible...so that my name can live on after i..."
"Prince Hector! No...my friend!" Radigan is silent. "Prince Hector, count me in on this deal. And...if you do prove victorious in the defeat of King Edward...i can see to it that you live."
"I will be victorious, my old friend. But first...I need a way in their lives..."
