Kouji Meets Beliamon

Darkness.

Utter and complete Darkness.

Kouji was startled at his surroundings once he had woken up and began to panic.

Where were the others? Where was he? How had he gotten here?

These questions raced through Kouji's mind at mach speed as his eyes slowly adjusted to the light.

He was in a cave, apparently, from the rough wallls and lack of light, but yet it looked somehow lived in. A large, round table of stone simply rose from the earth a few feet away from him, and their were smaller rises littered around- chairs, Kouji would guess. Kouji himslef was sprawled out upund several cloth mats with a pile of straw beneath him, similar to traditional Japanese futons, basically in the center of the room. What little light that was filtering into the room came from a skylight of sorts behind him. Under that skylight there was also a pit and several branches and twigs, for a fire at night. Several torches also lined the walls but at the moment were out.

Straining his eyes even further, Kouji was also to make out several passageways throughout the large room he was currently in. Unlike normal cave passages, they were vertical and rectangular in shape, like most modern doors, but were slightly wider. However, so far away to where he could hardly see them, there was a quite large marble door.

His gaze locked on the door, Kouji's mind shifter from where he was and how he had gotten here to how he could get out. He would suppose those doors were the main entrance to the cave.

"Don't bother even thinking about that door. There's no use escaping. Not only is its weight colossal, but I've mackicked it to where it would take all of the Ten Legendary Warriors or pehaps the Dark Lord Cherubimon himself to break through it."

Kouji jumped at the voice that had suddenly penetrated his thought and the silence of the cave. Now he was able to see very faintly someone sitting on the other side of the large table-like rock formation he had noticed earlier.

Shock quickly turning to anger, Kouji stood and took a figting stance.

"And exactly who are you? Why did you bring me here?!" Kouji growled. "Are you working for Cherubimon?!"

The figure chuckled lightly and stood up to meander its way slowly into the dim light where Kouji was able to see it completely.

At first he had thought her to be human-but then glanced to her folded ebony wings, her strnage clothing, and the markings all over her body Other than that she could pass for a normal human teenage female, with long blonde hair and an entertained expression lining her features.

"I am Beliamon, and you, Warrior of Light," She said, lifting a dainty finger at Kouji, "are my prisoner until further notice from Dark lord Cherubimon."

Eyes narrowing in fury, Kouji reached for his digivice, but found it gone. Gasping, he searched for it, but to no avail.

Chuckling more loudly this, tome, Kouji turned back to Beliamon.

"Really Kouji, you underestimate my intelliegence! Do you honestly think I would let you hang on to that bauble of yours and actually become a threat to me?" Beliamon asked sarcastically.

"Where is it!? And where are we!? And how do you know my name!?" Kouji asked, his temper returning.

"Again, you underestimate my intelliegence. Your little trinket will be returned to you when the time is right, and no sooner. As for where we are," Beliamon paused shortly and her eyes became clouded. "We are in an isolated part of the Digital World that not even Trailmon have been able to reach for decades. This cave was once a temple for a village of arcane mage digimon, like myself, before...Dark Lord Cherubimon destroyed most of them...As for you name, you told me."

Kouji noted the hint of sadness in her voice, but was too angry at the strange digimon for kidnapping him to care.

"Well, you may have my digivice, but my friends will come for me!" He proclaimed, brushing off the fact on how she knew his name as her trying to mess with his head.

Beliamon glanced at his as if his IQ was three.

"Like I said, even Trailmon have not been able to reach this place for years, and while I suppose flying digimon could, I could easily dispense the Warrior of Wind." Beliamon stated confidently.

"IF you're so strong, give me my digivice and we'll fight." Kouji countered.

At Kouji's remark a hint of a smile came across her face.

"Nice try, Kouji, but no. I don't want to hurt you. If you havn't noticed, this cave is quite dark, and darkness is your weak point, yet my strong point. Anyway, you'd lose." She replied.

Kouji growled again at the insult to his power.

"What makes you so sure?" He asked, fury lining his voice and pointed to the marble door in the backgrond. "If you're so strong, how did you open and close that seemingly unopenable door?"

Beliamon gave him a dry look.

"Your current digivolutions, Lobomon and KendoGarurumon ae both weak in darkness, while I'm strong in it. Not to mention, while I'm at champion level, I can easily defeat an Angewoman. If I digivolve I can even hold my own with a Royal Knight. And I didn't use that door, it's been sealed since the destruction Ayzahn Ra, the village this temple resided in. I used the skylight." Beliamon pointed out.

Kouji once again examined the light filtering down from the skylight, the gears in his head turning again.

"Oh, and by the way," Beliamon chimed in. "Don't think of escaping through there either. I've magicked the opening to act as a forcefield, as while we can see out, no one else can see in. It also masks the smoke from fires we would light.

Kouji turned back to her and scowled at having his plan put out so early. Beliamon chcukled at the look on his face and threw something to him, which out of reflex he caught.

It was a cooked meat apple.

"I already cooked it. you can snack on it while I get Dinner ready." Belaimon stated.

Kouji licked his lips in temptation, but laid the apple down beside of him and crossed his arms.

"I don't accept food from kidnappers." He said icily.

"Well you might as well," Beliamon huffed, putting her hands on her hips. "There's no telling on how long you'll be here with me, though its more likely to be longer than shorter, and it looks like you've done a good job of feeding youself so far."

Beliamon giggled as Kouji gasped and realized the whole time he had been 'chatting' with Beliamon, his shirt had ridden up and had been displaying the slight roll of flab recently added to his formerly fit frame.

Turning scarlet, he hastily pulled his shirt back down to hide his paunch as Beliamon continued to giggle as she walked down one of the passageways and her voice echoed throughtout the cave.

"It's really nothing to worry about, Kouji. From what I understand of the Real World, a lot of kids are becoming fatter. Its not so uncommon. Some people even prefer being plus sized! You'll grow into it!" Beliamon laughed at her joke as she continued down the passageway.

Still a bit embarassed, and keeping a check on his shirt, Kouji wondered about his captor. She had kidnapped him, and was apperently working for Cherubimon, but she didn't really seem evil. She seemed quite bubbly sometimes, like Takuya and Zoe, but like himself, he felt a great sadnes within her. She could also be serious, and yet sarcastic, and she also emanated power. He estimated she could hold her own against any of Cherubimon's Warriors and that her claims of power were true.

Absentmindely, Kouji wondered what he was going to do until he was rescued....

IF he was rescued.

Growing bored with the room, and wanting to keep an eye on his 'host', Kouji deliberated on whether or not he should follow her, as he could still hear her footsteps faintly and the rustle of her unique dress. Weighing the two choices quickly, Kouji decided to...
