you walk up to the lunch lady. "Are you ok mam?" you ask. She shrieks and runs from the room. From the other side of the door you can hear the excited voices of the lunch ladies as they tell the others what happened. You can't make out a word of what they're saying due to the fact that they're all talking at once, and speaking really fast. you decide it would be best to go home before there is more trouble. As you walk up to your front door(that's funny you don't even remember the walk from the school) you notice it's getting dark. The porch light and living room light of your house are on. As you enter you can hear your mom crying and your dad trying to comfort her. you close the door quietly so as not to disturb them. "It was a beautiful service," your mom says sobbing into a tissue your dad gave her, "I still can't believe she's gone," That's when you remember, your aunt Sally died last week, but you thought they already went to her funeral. "We'll have to thank your brother for letting us stay at his house last week." your mom says, "I don't know if I could've stood being here after what happened." After what happened? you think to yourself. What are they talking about? "I left the coffee maker on before we left" Dad said,"It's a miracle the house didn't burn down while we were gone," Mom grimaced "I wish it did burn down! I wish that when we came home there was nothing but a pile of ashes!" "Now honey, we'll make it through this. I know it hurts, but we can't just give up on life," Dad consoled.
