Laura is very, very dizzy. She has been tossed and thrown around in Kiki's stomach. The front of Kiki's bubble tummy glowed very faintly yellow with the light penetrating its thin stretched-out skin, so Laura could see just a little. The walls were very, very slimy, but it didn't burn, so it couldn't be stomach acid yet. If she started digesting, that would just ruin Laura's day in this stomach with the walls so easy to fall against. When Laura was inside Professor Fulpin's stomach, not only could she have stood up in there not touching the walls, but at least 10 other students could have been standing in there as well! But here, in Kiki's grad-school stomach, there was barely enough room for 3 people to squat, so she had a lot of contact area with the sides of the stomach here.
And with those thoughts, Laura was surprised when someone crashed into her, grabbed her, and the next thing she knew she was out of the stomach and in a school hallway, clutched to the side of guy she had tried to eat a minute before she was eaten by a girl herself.
Havon pulls away, wiping the slime off of himself that he got from Laura. He turns to Laura, trying to sound in control when he really is completely winded too. He explains, "Hey. I just saved you. Because I'm a nice guy who doesn't think about eating everybody. Don't try to eat me or anyone at random. They could be all nice people." Short, blunt statements sound authoritative.
Laura lets herself down to all fours, wrists buckling, panting at the ground. "Yeah," continues Havon, "teleporting takes more energy than just walking the same distance. It's just faster and lets you pass objects. I can see why you're winded, must not be used to it." Laura continues breathing heavily, not getting up.
