For a few moments she says nothing, a confused, maybe pained look on her face. Finally she turns to you and whispers.
"Algie... I'm different now, changed." she says simply, then keeps on walking with you in silence.
You stay silent too for a little while, waiting for her to continue, but it seems she isn't saying anything for a while.
"Jessica? Changed how?" you see her flinch "Hey, it's me! You know you can always trust me, I'd never judge you! Come on, I know you'll feel better if you share."
She stops, looks up into your eyes and you can feel her tension, her worry.
"Algie," she whispers, "About a month ago something happened to me, made me... well," she glanced about. "Lets talk in private."
Grabbing your arm she takes you to a door and opens it. As she follows you in you see it's a music practice room. She shuts the door firmly behind her and turns to you, worry still etched on her face.
You really feel for her, when you were friends before, even though it never got 'physical' you and she were very close. She always seemed to open up to you with anything, and always trusted you. You just couldn't lie to her, her trust was just too compelling.
"OK, well," she started, "It happened when I was heading home one time and bumped into a girl on the way..."
