The bear isn't resisting, and his soft pelt means that you don't hurt yourself when you hit him, but you still take a lot of damage as you spar. The uneven flooring, as the giantess walks around, means that the other contents of the bag slide around, bashing into you and upsetting your balance. By the time the bag is opened, you're a mass of bruises.

The hand sweeps in again, grasping for the keyring. This could be your chance.
