Go to a gym or doctor?

You decide to take a third option- going home would NOT be a smart decision, you'd scare your folks probably, but you don't think Magic will help at the moment- if it was really magic, that is. Instead, you decide you should get this gut off in a more natural way- modern medicine, or the old fashioned way. The latter won't be easy, but hey, they could already have people with this problem! Surely you can't be the only one. By the same line of logic, this could be a purely medical problem, and a doctor could help. You take a moment to decide, and then head off towards the....
