My, Jack, how you've grown!

You recognize the voice coming from the figure - it's Jack, your biology lab bench buddy from school. But he's grown enormously bigger, with a broad fat belly that stretches out his t-shirt.

"Jack!" you call out. "What happened to you, man?"

"Well, I got lost in this fog and I can't find my way out. Do you know the way out?"
"No, man, I mean look at yourself," you reply. As he comes up beside you, you realize he's about double the size he was in school - he's bigger everywhere, a thick layer of fat over everything, but bigger shoulders and legs too. He must weigh close to 400 pounds! You go on, "How'd you get so big?"

"What do you mean?" Jack replies. He looks down at himself.

1. He thinks he's always been this big.

2. He didn't know he'd grown so big.
