Tom sees Eric

Eric curled up, shutting his eyes. He was going to die-

Wait.

Eric opened his eyes again, looking up to see the shadow had disappeared. Tom was looking down at him, confused. Then the giant was leaning down, hand coming to scoop Eric up. Tom cupped his hand around Eric's form, starting to walk out of the room, muttering about the weird bug. Eric was confused for a second as he was carried away from his classroom and from the machine.

Looking ahead, it clicked though. Tom was walking towards one of the courtyard doors. Tom had always liked little bugs and even spiders. He was the person who captured them to take outside, because every creature was important to the ecosystem. It was actually one of the things Eric loved about his boyfriend, caring even about the smallest organism. However this wasn't good for Eric. He would be in a lot more danger outside.
