This choice: You feel really hungry, so you leave your bags and go for lunch • Go Back...
“C’mon, Matt, let’s get lunch,” says Leo. You suddenly feel ravenous, so you decide to leave your bags with Ms. Peach and go with Leo to the cafeteria.
“Is the cafeteria any good, or do you guys order in a lot of pizza?” Matt asked Leo, as they headed down the hallway. “The cafeteria in my old public school sucked.”
“Nah, it’s great,” said Leo. “The food tastes good, and there’s lots of it. And there’s a burger bar and an ice cream bar too,” he added, licking his lips.
As Matt walked along with Leo, he noticed the school had posters of fat guys along the walls, with labels like “Think Big,” “Big then, bigger now,” and “Size Matters”. Some of the posters had fat guys cycling, wrestling, playing football, and swimming. Matt asked Leo, “what do you do for gym class here?”
“Oh, it depends,” replied Leo. “A lot of guys lift weights or go swimming. There’s teams for wrestling, football, swimming, weightlifting, and sumo, and guys practise. Coach tries to keep people busy, but sometimes we just sit around. The pool is the best,” Leo went on. “Swimming’s a good sport for fat guys - you don’t see many skinny whales! And, you get to see all sorts of guys with only swim trunks on, which is pretty cool. There are even a couple of foreign guys who wear speedos in the pool.”
“Speedos?”
“Yeah, apparently they’re required in Germany or something. Anyway, I swim on the house team - maybe you’ll join us?” and with that, the boys arrived at the cafeteria.
Matt looked around as he went in and took a tray. He saw:
