The stand

"Make me? This isn't a tea party girl. Get out of here before you get hurt... or worse."

To his surprise Dauphin stood her ground and gave the burly man a menacing look.

"I will not move for anyone, man or beast, for I can not tell which one you may be," she said, then taking a seat at the bar and speaking to the bartender.

"Please kind sir, I have been travelling since the last moon was full, I need a drink and someone to water my faelen. I will pay you a handsome sum."

The burly man walked over to where she was seated.

"I told you girl, you are not allowed here, leave now or we may get to see you cry."

Undaunted by his words, she turned toward him and said, "I am the high priestess of the lord, Varoon. Do you wish to speak to me with such malice or shall I have your tongue fed to my pet?"
