Dauphin looked at the other creature. It appeared to be genuine which was a suprise, as faelan's were so rare in captivity. Then again with the war threatening, people were selling a lot of items of value as hard cash had much more appeal.
"Give me the faelan."
Dauphin turned to the voice. She saw the knife glinting in the man's hand, but even before she had time to think her arm had swung out suprisingly the man with its suddeness. The knife was on the floor before he had even had time to blink.
"If you want one, try the auction," she suggested.
The man looked to be considering attacking again, but Dauphin's supreme confidence was as off putting as the obvious skill with which she had removed the knife. He turned on his heel and swiftly moved away.
