Unfortunately for both girl and beast, she promptly tripped over a wonky cobblestone. It had been hours since Dauphin had last slept, but all the same the faelan was getting close to killing her and trying to make his way to the palace on his own.
"Hey, are you okay?"
Dauphin looked up into clear brown eyes. She noticed the eyes first because instead of two, there was six of them. The rest of this creature's appearance was no less unusual - it was less than half her height and covered all over with thick black hair. All the same she was at a point where nothing could surprise her, and its enquiry had seemed friendly enough.
"No, not really. I'm tired, hungry and can't find the palace where I'm meant to take this bloody creature I have been leading around all day." And with that she promptly burst into tears.
