The fighting continued even though Dauphin was injured and near death.
Morkan watch from a short distance as she fought for her life.
"boys...boys. leave her be" says Morkan smugly.
The guards back away from Dauphin who has a shattered collarbone and a swollen eye.
"what? are you sissies afraid of getting whipped? huh?"
Morkan approached her.
"foolish Dauphin. you should have taken the long way around. we knew you'd come this way."
Dauphin looked at him.
"how could you have known?"
"because..." Morkan points behind him.
"he told us you would."
She turns, fearing the worst. And it couldn't be worse.
Behind her, standing proud and tall, was Delpheus.
"no...delpheus...."
"yes, dear sister. it's me, much to your surprise. you were always so predictable."
"why..brother?"
"why? dear sister, there is a great and powerful artifact here that i intend to make my own."
"with that, no-one would dare oppose me."
Standing over her, her brother and Morkan laughed.
"i'll get...you..for this...."
"oh, i don't think so....Morkan, i'm going on ahead. you stay here and finish things here. Can you handle that?"
"Don't worry about things here....i can handle her."
"I hope so..."
Delpheus heads further into town as Morkan and his servants advance close to Dauphin.
