Android 18, like her fellow androids 16 and 17, is bound to her goal: killing Goku. One day, bored as always by her brother's choice of using a car instead of flying, she decides to go off on her own around the islands to find Goku and kill him. After many hours of searching for clues, she recognizes Kame House and immediately approaches the island. Although she doesn’t need to knock, she does so because of her twisted sense of humor.
No one responds, but an energy blast suddenly hits her from behind.
“What the... ohhh, it’s you, Son Gohan. I’m looking for your father. I have no interest in you or a fight. Since that energy blast did nothing, I don’t think you’re worth more than the dirt under my boots.”
Gohan, furious, attacks her right away. She deflects every attack with just one hand and then hits him with tremendous force, knocking him out.
