Thankfully, things had just gone along rather quietly on the trip back. You were glad that you really didn't have to answer any more questions on it, not that you would have been at liberty to say anything anyway.
Anyway, it was good being home, and you spent some time helping with bringing the luggage inside, and dealing with Samantha's barbs with saying he should go faster as the younger man of the house. You just sighed at that, as it wasn't worth dealing with it.
It was about midday by now, and you were thankful for being able to relax given the large time difference. Good that it was a Saturday now so you could at least rest for another day before having to get back for high school.
Your dad went around to make sure everything in the house was in order, while your mom went out to get a few groceries. Mercifully, Samantha went to her own room, likely to go talk with her friends all day over text and such. Fine by you, since it meant some time in your room uninterrupted.
Your head felt better by now, so you felt no reason to dwell on anything about it. It was in the past.
