Meanwhile, somewhere very high above the city, a black, gull-winged spacecraft descended through the atmosphere, cutting swiftly through the clouds before its hull shimmered and the ship vanished from the sensor systems on Earth. Inside, the pilot of the alien vessel relaxed as the hum of the cloaking device became audible.
"That ought to keep the hominids in the dark," she sneered, leveling out the ship as the primitive skyscrapers appeared below and leaning back to relax, tapping one clawed finger on the handle of a blaster pistol tucked into her belt. Humanity had not yet been graced with the presence of the Ravidians yet, one of the most powerful and dangerous species in the greater galaxy, and she was a fine example of her kind; tall, powerfully built, resembling an anthropomorphic avian creature with a short, sharp black beak and raven colored feathers from her head to her broad hands all the way down to her clawed boots, save of course for a rebellious streak of violent purple around her neck. She bore scars from hundreds of hard-fought victories, the most notable one straight across her now artificial right eye, and bested many powerful warriors, be it with the speed and quickness of her draw, or the ferocity and viciousness of her claws and her beak. At the moment, she was fantasizing about what fearsome warriors there were to best here when she heard shuffling behind her and turned around.
"...what ARE you doing, Corvin?" she demanded of the second Ravidian to arrive on this planet, currently pacing around the back of the ship mimicking a dance, a blissful expression on his face. He could not be more different from this counterpart, dressed in grand, silver-winged armor in contrast to the mercenary's crimson uniform, his feathers perfectly groomed and maintained, the handle of a blade bouncing on his hip. Truly immaculate in appearance, not a hint of the blood that had so often stained his own garments and blade upon his person.
"My exuberance simply cannot be contained, Ronyx!" the warrior declared proudly. "My long quest is nearly complete, and I have you to thank for it!" He strode over and clapped the mercenary on the shoulders, who barely flinched. "Dearest sister, why did we ever let you leave us?"
"Because dad tried to have me executed then framing me as a bastard to disinherit me and made sure you were the sole heir to the empire?"
Corvin's broad grin became strained as he patted her shoulder. "Yes...that is of course why I'm paying you very handsomely for your services!"
"You fucking better," Ronyx snarled, spotting a building to land on and bringing in the ship to a gentle stop. "Or I'll throw you in a ditch for your precious girlfriend to find."
The princely bird straightened out, puffing up to his full height with a look of indignant fury. "Girlfriend? My dearest sister, have you no sense of the romantic, of the passionate? Me and my princess are more then such crass terminology...we are simply meant to be! Perfect soulmates, destined to be together, here and forevermore!" With a grand gesture and another wistful sigh, he took out a small holographic projector, turning on the image and staring adoringly at the old photo, him sweeping up his beloved in his arms, the insectoid princess in turn looking like she was going to vomit as he tried to kiss her. "Oh, Sa'Na, my everlasting joy..."
Leaving her brother to swoon over the image, Ronyx descended from the drop-down ramp onto the rooftop of the primitive skyscraper, taking a viewfinder out of her side pocket along with the tracker she'd been using to find this bug. Coordinating with the latter, she leaned over the edge and peered down at a building where humans were gathering, spotting something distinctly not human dashing out of the door.
"Found her!"
With a squawk and a violent tumble down the ramp, Corvin appeared at his sister's side, beside himself with joy and delight as he snatched the viewfinder to get a look.
"By the great heavens, it's her! It's really her! Oh my beloved, wait for me no longer for I am...where is she going?"
Frustrated, Ronyx pulled out her spare to peer down at the scene below, watching this princess her brother was so fond of activating her battle armor, then running back inside...
"...no."
...heading to a table, picking up one of the humans around the waist to swing them around...
"...NO!"
...and kissing them passionately on the lips.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
More then a few of the humans glanced up at the ungodly shriek coming down from above as the noble prince launched into a violent tantrum like he was still five years old, screaming and shouting as he punched and kicked at everything he could reach, tearing chunks out of the stone and metal of the building with sheer superhuman strength and rage.
"She is MY love! MY TRUE LOVE! SHE BELONGS TO ME!!!" The prince ripped a chunk of metal from the rooftop and, filled with pure anger and rage, bit it cleanly in two with his beak before throwing them clear across the city. "I will kill this thief of love! Rip his beating heart out of his chest and crush it with my bare claws!"
Ronyx rolled her eyes at her brother finding yet another arch nemesis to violently murder, and from a species that really wasn't worth the effort either. Looking through the viewfinder again, she zoomed in on the scene, watching this alien princess wave at the group of humans she was with and depart, before focusing on the human she was kissing. Definitely not some powerful warrior worthy of a battle against this great prince. Just a human, if a rather fetching one...with his nice hair, charming expression, those beautiful eyes...
The mercenary felt her heart beating faster then when she took on ten Pyjckian warlocks at the same time, and she felt a surge of anger herself at this pompous princess her brother was so fond of. That wretched insect thought she could keep such a perfect specimen of humankind all to herself? Not while the great Ronyx still drew breath!
"I will make you my love before long, human," the mercenary said huskily as she planned her next move, her brother stepping up behind her still lost in his rage as they both spoke as one, to different people.
"You belong...to ME!"

Returning to his living room with a fresh bowl of popcorn, Cody started to announce his presence before he hushed himself, tiptoeing closer to where Sa'na had flopped over on the couch and fallen fast asleep to the movie the pair were watching. Gently placing the bowl in front of her, Cody leaned over and kissed her on the cheek, her antennae twitching happily as she snorted a little bit. Moving over to the other armchair, he winced as the light from the sunset his his eyes, reminding him of something.
"Crud...trash goes out..."
Navigating like he was in a stealth mission, Cody deftly extracted the noisy trashbag from his apartment, making his way down the stairs and chucking it into the bin outside. Dusting off his hands from a job well done, he turned around to find...
