"With weeks of good diet and exercise your hard work pays off. Lose 20lbs?" Mel spoke in a confused tone, looking from the card back to Alex with a slightly insulted look. "What weird game did you order Alex?"
Before she could finish speaking her hand went for the band of her sweatpants as she gripped ahold of it. Her roomy behind had become rather less roomy as the pants no longer strained against her broader backside. Weight fell off her, and as Mel's cheeks reddened she felt a sudden thrill as everything she wore was now too big for her. Instantly going from 190lbs to 170lbs had made her look thinner and healthier.
"What the hell Alex." Mel spoke out, excitement in her voice as she held up her pants.
Alex watches the text scroll on his phone.
Mel felt her sweats instantly get too small for her smaller plump behind. The idea of an instant diet cure was too much for her to pass up. She was going to make sure this game continued.
"Shit." Alex murmurs, his anxiety skyrocketing as he realized what his twin was about to do.
"Mel, listen. This was sent to me by someone who does not like me. We can't continue this game." Alex frantically got the rules out and read them to her.
"If we stop now neither of us will change anymore and you can keep that weight loss. We have no idea how poorly it can go if we get bad cards." Alex gestures at the board. "See all this? It can do lots of weird things to your body?"
Mel took ahold of the rules as she read over them intently. "Hey-" She gestures at the rules.
The winner of the game would return to normal and only keep the changes they like if they so choose to for a week. The losers would be stuck as they were for a week also as they were transformed.
"If I can lose weight on this then I just have to win! If you end up different it'll only last a week, not that big of a deal." Mel responds, her best attempt at puppy dog eyes as she looks up at Alex.
"No!" He shouted out, crossing his arms over his chest. "We're not gonna be playing! Look-" He reaches out and gestures at a yet unseen rule.
If no one takes a turn in 59 minutes then the game is forfeit with all changes becoming permanent.
"It's better that we stop now! I don't wanna end up like-" His hand gestures down at the painted figures on the board.
"How about I just play by myself?" Mel asks, taking the dice and attempting to roll again. Nothing happened.
"It's not your turn. This game also can't be played by two people." Alex responds, sighing as he slides his hand across his face exasperated.
Mel frowns as she attempts again, only to get nothing once again. "Come on! The worst you'll get is a week of changes! Nothing wrong with helping your sister out."
"I said no!" Alex rolls his eyes as he looks down at his screen, seeing text beginning to scroll.
