Chapter #5Free meal by: Tisch Derek couldn't help but close his eyes. Wherever he landed, he just wanted it to be a soft enough place where he wouldn't be gravely harmed. Granted, Derek was awfully durable thanks to the college experiment. Nonetheless, he could still feel pain and discomfort. Knowing this, Derek kept his eyes shut so as not to anticipate any pain and preemptively prepare for the worst.

"Huh?" A voice boomed over Derek's head. He had finally landed, and in something that was a little weird. He couldn't describe the texture, but it was messy whatever it was. Derek was soon covered head to toe in some red goop. Slowly dragging himself out of it, Derek wiped his face clean and looked at himself. To his right was beige strings. To his left was the same. In front of Derek were more of the same, but there was an opening that displayed the end of a white tray with a panel that was taken up by some apples. "What the hell?" the little man muttered. Still having failed to figure out where he was, Derek kept still. "Did you guys see that?" a high-pitched voice called. Derek looked up to try and find the source of the sound. All that was there was more beige strings, mixed with the red goop he had previously observed. Then it clicked. "I'm in a students lunch!" Derek cried. He scrambled to try and escape the mess, but the more he moved, the more Derek got himself stuck. He was in a spaghetti dish, the beige strings being noodles and the red goop being tomato sauce. "I have got to get out of here, before the kid eats me," Derek panted. Above him, the child continued to talk to her friends.
"No, I swear I saw something fall into my spaghetti," the girl said. The other students sitting at the table started to make fun of her. "Whatever, I bet you saw Bloody Mary in the bathroom too, didn't you?" one poked. "What could have possibly fallen into your spaghetti? A fly? They wouldn't do that, because... they fly!" another contributed. The girl just rolled her eyes. "Whatever, you guys are so annoying. I know what I saw." She then started digging around in her spaghetti for another bite. Derek felt the noodles twisting and moving around as the little girl was doing so. "Shit, shit, shit," he mumbled. With a sense of urgency, Derek dove forward. Instead, he incidentally caught his lower body further up in the pile of noodles and his upper body tangled straight in the middle. Derek was practically helpless as he twisted and turned. "Oh my God, I'm completely stuck! Somebody help me!" the little man cried. It was only a matter of time until disaster struck unless a miracle came along. And Derek knew that. Unfortunately, there was no miracle. A moment later, Derek felt himself getting caught in a ball of spaghetti and its accompanying sauce. The girl had found his area and was preparing herself another bite. Twisting her fork, the student gathered a ball of noodles, which happened to include Derek, and lifted it into the air. Derek could hardly even see out of the pile of noodles, he was buried perfectly in the center. And if he couldn't see a giant girl, then it was likely that the giant girl couldn't see him. The little guy screamed. At the final moment, he peered out of the noodles and saw the child's open maw.

*PULL*
"*spit* *sputter* No, help!" Derek cried. Landing on the little girl's wet tongue, the tiny assistant crawled out of the noodle ball and tried desperately to get to her lips. But the girl shut her mouth and prepared to chew her food. She flicked her tongue in the air, dragging Derek back into the noodles. "Dammit, I just got out of there!" he cried as he once again got stuck. The girl flicked around the noodles before beginning to chew.
*CHEW*
*MUNCH*
Derek choked on a combination of chewed spaghetti and the girl's saliva as he was tossed around the damp environment. Piles of her spit washed over the little guy as the girl salivated with her delicious meal. Derek couldn't fight it. He was too small to make an impact, though he hadn't shrunk too much from his original form. Regardless, it seemed as though he was doomed. Once again, the girl flicked her tongue. The mashed up noodles formed a pile of mush on the elementary student's tongue, in which Derek was buried at the bottom. His head stuck out at the back, closest to the girl's throat. He watched in horror as the little girl brought the mush backwards. "No, please don't eat me!" Derek cried. He started to hyperventilate, breathing in the girl's lunch breath. Derek gagged before yelling. The girl slipped the food into her gullet.
*GLUCK*

*SPLASH*
*GURGLE*
Derek shot up and choked. He landed right in the center of the little girl's stomach, the pool of her juices providing an ironically safe landing. The warm liquids invited Derek to stay in, but he knew better. The tiny assistant climbed onto the nearest pile of chewed up food and he laid down. "Someone better find me," Derek hoped. "I mean, I still have my tracking device on. Please..." Then he remembered that he had told the staff that he would be staying with one class for the day. If this student was a part of that class, they wouldn't assume that he would be missing. And unfortunately, this little girl was apart of his class. Derek was doomed.
The little guy waited and waited inside of this oblivious student's stomach. More food rained in from above and would either splash somewhere near him or just fall on top of him. Waves of liquid also entered as the girl drank her juice box, complimentary to the meal. An hour later and the girl's belly was constantly shaking and gurgling. She was clearly active again and the moaning and groaning echoing in her stomach indicated to Derek that her digestive processes would be going to town. He knew at this moment that he was a goner. Derek accepted his fate. He continued to wait inside the girl's belly, floating around aimlessly. He fell asleep just after the little girl had gone home for the day. Derek would never again see the light of day. He was processed while the girl was sleeping, sent further along in her system as just another morsel of food... |
