Megan's Life

    by: Morphology Author IconMail Icon
Watching Megan struggle with her math homework, Courtney decided to see if she wanted some help. Making sure that Mia was engrossed into something, Courtney knelt down next to Megan to see what she doing. "So Meggy, what are you up to?" She asked while looking over the papers in front of her.

Setting her pencil down, Megan looked up at Courtney. "Math ith too hard." She told her as she put the pencil down. "Do I really need to learn it?" She asked with a pleading look on her face.

Taking her hand, Courtney rested it onto Megan's head and mussed her hair a little. "Yeah, you kinda need it, Meggy."

Hearing this, Meagan let out a sigh. "I with that thomeone would finith it for me." She cried out as she picked up her pencil once more.

Hearing this, Courtney let out a small giggle causing Megan to look up at her. "What if I told you that I can make my brother do your homework for you, but you will need to pretend to be him until I get over there." She instructed the little girl, who in turn, looked at her like she'd grown another head on her shoulder. Seeing this, Courtney pulled out the remote from her pullover and showed it to Megan. "This little thing can swap you and my brother's lives around. So he will have to do your homework for you and you can sit around and play video games while you're him." She instructed causing Megan's eyes to grow wide with excitement.

"Tho ith like Freaky Friday that Mommy had me watch." Megan told her as she stood up and started to jump up and down with excitement.

Remembering the movie that she was referencing, Courtney nodded her head. "Yeah, just like that. But you can't tell anyone who you are really, okay?" She instructed, hoping to minimize all the potential problems that this may cause. 'Or I can do something else too.' She thought to herself as she got ready to make the swap between her brother and Megan. Taking a moment to think about what she was going to do, Courtney held up the remote and looked over at Megan. "Alright Meggy. Are you ready?" She asked causing her to jump with excitement and accidentally hitting the table, causing a glass of juice spilling and getting on her clothes.

"Oops." She exclaimed looking down at her clothes which had a small wet spot on one of her pant legs. "I'm thorry." She said with a sorrowful look on her face.

"It's alright." Courtney told her as she took aim at Megan. "It will a problem for a couple of minutes from now. Are you ready?" She asked Megan who started to nod with excitement. "Here we go" Courtney told her as she pressed the button on the remote. As she did, she watched Megan cover her eyes from the bright light enveloping the room. Courtney, too, had to cover her eyes as well since the light was so bright.

Before she was able to see once again, she heard Josh's voice calling out in surprise. "What wath that?" She heard his voice say. Finally able to see once again, she turned to see her brother standing where Megan stood just seconds earlier. Only he had his hair down past his shoulders, just like Megan's was, and also was wearing her clothes, she could even see the wet spot from the juice spill from just a minute prior. The only thing that didn't look like Megan was the fact that he was still his height. "Mith Courtney, what..." He started to ask but stopped upon hearing what he'd called his sister.

Smiling, Courtney slid the remote back into her pocket and started to make her way over to him. "So, I guess it does work." She exclaimed as she made her way closer to her brother, who still looked out of sorts. "Hmm... I thought you taking over her life would had made you shorter, but I guess not." She thought to her self aloud. "I wonder." Courtney said to herself as she grabbed her brother just below his arms and lifted him up with ease.

"Whath ith going on here? Why am I thalking like thith? Puth me down." Josh demanded as he tried to get away from his sister.

Putting him down, Courtney got a closer look at him, catching him off guard. "Smile please." She asked as she looked at his mouth. Hoping to get some answers, Josh obliged and did as she asked revealing that he was currently missing his two top teeth, just like Megan had been just a few moments before. "Ahh..." She said while looking over the rest of him.

"Whath?" Josh asked trying to get some information from her.

Sitting down on the couch, Courtney padded the seat next to her to let her brother sit next to her. "Well, I put you into Megan's life. So that is why you have her clothes, hair, and I guess teeth too." Courtney told him causing Josh to use his tongue to feel around his mouth. "I did it so that I could give Megan a little break and for you to finish her homework."

Feeling a little taken aback by everything that had happened, Josh sat there and folded his arms across his chest. "Why do you think I would I do the homework, Mith Courtney?" He asked hoping that he'd gotten one over on her.

Knowing that this would probably come up, Courtney looked over at him and smiled. "Because I won't turn you back to normal until you do and because I also swapped over your attitude towards me too." Thinking about it for a moment, Josh looked over at her and felt a feeling of awe and needing to follow what she says. "I also swapped over your name too." She told him and continued. "So every time somebody says Megan Marie Thompson, you will think it was your name, but also you will think it was your name as well." Leaning back on the couch with her arms across her chest, Courtney glanced over at her brother. "So tell me what your name is." She instructed to make a point.

Compelled to obey, Josh tried to fight it at first, but felt a sense of making her proud. In the end, he looked over at her and tried to say his name. "Joshua Brian Mitchell Megan Marie Thomthon." Hearing it come out of his mouth, Josh tried once more to get it right. "No, thaths noth righth. Itth Joshua Mitchell Megan Thomthon and I'm 19 yearth old." He tried several time, but every time he tried to say his name, Megan's name would come out.

"See." She said with a smile on her face. "But I think I should have swapped your life information too, now that I think about it." Feeling like he was a guinea pig for his sister, Josh held up his hands to protest and noticed that hey looked to have a small amount of nail polish on them too. "Oh relax." She told him. "Just do the homework and I will swap you back after I get done tonight. Besides, we don't get to hang out as much anymore anyway and we can think of this as some bonding time."

Rolling his eyes, Josh looked down at the homework still sitting on the table in front of him and sat down to finish it so that he could get back to his life. Picking up the pencil, Josh looked over at the homework and thought to himself. 'This looks ________'
