Chapter #5

Walk a mile in your shoes.

Thinking about it for a moment, Josh ultimately decided to wear Jenn's boots. "I will wear these." He said lifting up Jenn's favorite boots. "You forced me to wear your shoes and now I'm going to wear your favorite ones until I'm able to swap back." She started to protest, but soon thought against it. Slipping both of his feet into the boots, he could tell why Jenn loved these so much. The warmth that he felt while wearing them made him think about getting a pair for himself, if he could get away with wearing them. He watched as Emily quickly made her way over to her car to fetch the extra pair of shoes for Jenn to wear.

Starting to put get his shoes and socks together, Josh put them next to his chair. "I'm sorry I forced you to wear those boots." Jenn said sheepishly. "I just wanted to test some different criteria out." Josh nodded his head, letting her feel a little better. "You know, we can do so much stuff with this new power of yours." She started, but was cut off with Emily coming back.

Taking a look at Emily coming back over, Josh was glad that he chose to wear the boots instead of what Emily brought in. The day-glo pink shoes would certainly draw attention to his feet. "Here you go Jenn." She replied handing the pair of shoes over to her friend. "I usually wear these when I'm working out over at the gym, but since we all wear the same size now." She let out a small giggle looking over at Josh.

"Yeah laugh it up." Josh said with grimace. "Because of you two, I have long blonde hair and size 8 women's feet." He gestured to both his head and feet.

"Size 7, thank you very much." Jenn replied with a smirk as she started to lace up her temporary shoes. Josh gave her a shrug as if to say whatever. "You know we should probably start heading home. Traffic might start getting pretty bad since its getting close to 4." Jenn suggested as she picked up his shoes.

Nodding, Josh followed her out to the car. With his smaller feet, he found it a little harder to balance his body. It took him a few minutes to get used to his new feet, but he soon got used to it and slowly made his way to the car. "Are you okay?" Jenn asked, worried about the way he was walking.

"Yeah, I think you feet are a little too small for my body." Josh suggested. "Once I get used to it, I should be fine." Getting in the car, they both buckled themselves in and started to make their way home. The ride was uneventful enough besides the occasional odd look from other drivers made Josh feel a little self conscious about the way he looked. But he knew that it was only for 48 hours and he could turn back to normal.

"I will see you later?" Jenn asked wondering if she could come over later on. Josh nodded his head. Smiling she gave him a quick kiss on the lips and made her way into her house. Josh watched with glee as she sauntered her way into her house.

Soon Josh found his home and made his way inside. "I'm home." He called out to the seemingly empty house.
