This was a nightmare. No doubt about that. Clearly the criminal justice system was in deep need of an overhaul but Stan couldn't focus on that now. Now he needed to put all his effort into reforming. Once he was three-dimensional again, he could put his mind to work into winning this case on his own, because clearly his apathetic public defender wouldn't be of any help. It was just his luck his defender had the same work ethic as his partner. "Former partner," he mentally corrected himself, wincing. Hard to believe he'd rather be "cooled off" by his partner than in a situation like this.
The trial was only a few minutes in and Stan was trying his hardest to listen while still trying to free himself from the table. It was just after he'd gotten one arm free that a shadow fell over him. Stan's eyes went wide, her tried to scream but his mouth hadn't reformed yet. He could only struggle in mute horror as Paris's meteoric bust fell on top of him again, once more reducing him to a stain on the desk. In a completely unprofessional display of laziness, Paris had stretched her chair out and leaned forward, propping an elbow on the table and using one hand to support her head like a bored student waiting for school to be over. She barely listened to the proceedings, putting more attention into popping her gum. She was completely oblivious to the fact that with her rack resting on the desk, she'd rendered her client back into a fine paste.
Turns out Stan had overestimated the helpfulness of his defense. She wasn't just no help, she was actively harmful!
For several hours the trial persisted, with the evidence Commissioner Rice had presented Stan with shown to the jury, including photos of money and somehow video footage of "Stan" accepting bribes. There were numerous gasps from the jury, and in the end a woman was called to take the witness stand to testify an officer requested bribes from her to avoid justice.
"And is that person in this room?" the prosecutor asked.
"Yes," the witness said eagerly. "He's right--uh, wait, where is he?"
"Ms. Dunn, take this trial seriously!" the Judge thundered.
"Yes, yuh honor," Paris said in a tone that gave absolutely no indication she was taking the trial seriously at all. Still she finally removed her breasts, exposing Stan to light for the first time in hours. Just in time for someone he couldn't see on the witness stand to point at him and say, "THAT's HIM! That's the man who demanded bribes from me! I was so scared," the woman said, sobbing as if Stan could actually hurt her.
Their were gasps, outraged cries and such a fury of commotion that Judge McIntosh was forced to slam down her gavel repeatedly.
"ORDER! ORDER IN THE COURT! Ms. Dunn," Judge McIntosh said once everyone had quieted down. "Does the defendant have anything to say in his defense?" Judge McIntosh demanded.
For the first time since she introduced herself to him, Paris acknowledged her client's existence. She asked in a bored-sounding voice. "Do yuh have anything ta say in yuh defense?" Yes! There were so many things Stan wanted to say in his defense, but he was incapable of voicing any of them due to his defender squashing him flatter than a pancake. "No, yuh honor. The defense rests."
Stan's entire body was quivering in anger and horror but it still wasn't enough to reform so he could shout his objection. It took him several minutes to peel his arms and head free. It took less time than that for the jury to reach a verdict. Given how horribly the trial had gone for Stan, the outcome was a predictable one, though one no less horrifying.
"We find the defendant, Stan Padding, guilty as charged."
"Very well then," the Judge said, glaring down at Stan like a vengeful god prepared to rain fire and brimstone down upon him. "Stan Padding, for the brazen disgrace your vile actions have inflicted upon the hard-working women in uniform, I sentence you to..."
1) Life imprisonment at the women's correctional facility! Judge McIntosh believes if Stan wanted to do the job of a full-grown woman, he should be punished the same way as one.
2) Imprisonment at the CTC as part of their unique "correctional" program. Stan will only be released once someone there determines the best usage of him to serve the needs of the community.
3) A unique punishment to be decided and carried out by your local precinct. Since Stan has disgraced his colleagues, one of or all of them will determine his punishment.
