The band of the Emerald skins

    by: MrNoNoseHair Author IconMail Icon
Nearby you see a wounded female with skin as green as the tree's in the forest you were just traveling though, leaning against a wall and wincing in pain and clutching her side.

You see a group of rat looking girls moving in on the green human looking one, and you made a move to try and scare them off. When the rodent girls turned toward you, they all started to panic and run away, dropping whatever tools they had and running off in the other direction, some tripping and falling over trying to get away from you and other's with their long tails between their legs.

You got closer to the green skinned woman who simply looked at you with confusion and fury. As you got closer, she tried to raise her weapon she still had in her hand, a thick but small wooden club, but winced as she tried to lift it.

She dropped the weapon and just looked at you, as if expecting you to finish her off.

Instead of attacking and hurting her further, you went to pick her up, which caused the green skinned girl to start yelling out at you in a language that you didn't understand, and went to move her out of the battle field. You spotted a spot that seemed to be being ignored by everyone and moved her there, and placed her off to the side.

She winced as you placed her back down, and tried to apologize and tried to offer help. but she only swiped at you, although you wondered why she was doing that now only after moving her.

Just then before you could do anything, you felt your head getting knocked into and loss contentiousness.

----

When you wake up, you had found yourself at the end of a long hallway, the only light around you being some touches that lit up the stone walls.

You then spot a very small door next to you, with your legs in as if trying to pull your through, but yet you were not pulled in all the way.

It was then you heard someone grunt and looked to see 2 tired looking green skinned humanoids that looked imposing now that you were on the ground.

They spotted you and one of them a top heavy female wearing only a simple cloth around her waist, turned to run off, leaving the other one, a male who was wearing the same kind of clothing the female was, but didn't do much to hide their male hood from you as they stood over and glared at you, but didn't do anything else.

You wanted to get up, but you saw the male reach for their weapon and shook their head at you.

Sighing at your situation, you just laid there and waited until the heavy breasted female came back with a few other short green colored people in tow.

One of them seemed to be the leader, or at least some kind of authority figure, seeing they had alot of accessories... and only accessories on their body and paint job drawing all over them, highlighted by the torch light.

It was another female, looking older than the others, and they all gave signals that you guess was to show respect to her. She stares at you for a moment, her golden eyes glowing, but no real malice was shown, just curiosity.

She began to say something but you didn't understand what she was saying... it seemed she was speaking to you. But because you didn't respond fast enough, one of the other small folk slapped you on the head and grunted out something. Only for them to be hissed at by the elder green skin.

"Umm..." You started, and tried to sit up and pull your feet, only to discover that they had attached something to your legs and making it so you cant pull out. "Whats... Whats going on? I'm sorry, but I don't understand..." You were regretting trying to help the one green girl, and wished you had just left them alone... or better yet, you wished you never even gotten into the forest to begin with!

The green skinned folk around you seem to look at the elder one in confusion, go figure that there was going to be a lang...

"Is that what you speak Hmm? I was wondering, but why would a greenless skinned one be able to speak... are you a little project of the Scalies?" The older female demanded.

You tried to explain that you didn't know what she was talking about, and that you were traveling through the foggy forest outside of this fortress.

"A fog traveler?" The older Goblin, you guess whats what these are, said with skepticism, cocking an eyebrow. "There have not been many who could travel into the fog without any trouble... what makes you so special?" The elder green skinned woman seemed to think on something.

As the Elder green skinned goblin woman thought, you spotted the one who you tried to help before, having been the one of the ones who followed the older one to you. She stared at you with a look of annoyance, but than spoke out to the leader looking one and then after hearing what the younger one had to say, the accessory wearing goblin nodded and said "We normally would have put you down as yet another scalie experiment to try and annihilate us, but you instead tried to save one of our own... which would not make sense if you were a tool of destruction for out clan... But we cant let you go free either... We will put you on trail, and you will have to prove to us that you are not our enemy. I'll even be fair to you and allow you to choose which trial you will take."

Seeing no choice, the Elder gave a toothy smile and began to tell you what your options were to prove your innocence.

Her first option was trial by battle, if you could best their toughest warrior, you would be granted release.

Or you could try to take out a group of some rat people who had been stalking their home caverns.

Or for you to steal something from the reptilian folk, but you were warned that they possess magical capabilities, although weak would prove to be trouble some.

Or you can take some kind of endurance test, although the details were left vague on what she meant by that.

Which do you pick?
