The allure of the wand

You come home from a hard day at school, to find your little sister Heidi waiting for you by the doorway, grinning widely. "What are you smiling at, you little brat?" You ask her. She giggles. "I'm smiling at this!" She holds up a bright pink fairy wand with an orb on the tip of it. "A stupid wand?" You scoff. Heidi giggles again. "Not just any wand, get a close look!" You decide to humour her, as you closely look at the wand. Inside the orb, you see a magical landscape. There are little girls playing, rainbows, unicorns, puppies, kittens, princesses, and everything else cute, pink and girly. You find yourself mesmerized by what you see, staring deeper and deeper into the wand. Eventually your gaze breaks, and you find that...
