"I don't want to be the butt head." Damon said flatly during their conversation. Osmium stood beside him glancing at the brothers, as if intently listening to each word they spoke.
Ramon, sitting on a stump, held Anubis in his lap. "Well... I don't want to be the butt head either." He patted his Riolu's head affectionately while he and his brother talked.
"Then Girafarig is out; guess that means Doduo is the best option." Damon said. "Binacle would just be awkward to go around as... and we can't quiet do the Zweilous stage yet." Damon said as he placed his finger to his chin, lost in thought. The last time they tried to transform into Zweilous, they just became a single Deino with their minds so mixed up it was difficult to know who was who. Needless to say, neither enjoyed sharing the same mindspace.
Damon figured they just did not have the 'experience' yet to take the stage two of most pokemon. He frowned while pondering his and Ramon's ability to transform. As amazing as it was, he and his brother could only transform into the same pokemon. Literally the same pokemon. They always shared a body while transformed, and that usually meant having separate heads. Most Pokemon like, like Shinx or Chimpchar, stand out when the pokemon has two heads. That is why he usually insisted on them transforming into a pokemon that usually had multiple heads. "So Doduo?" He finally asked his brother, realizing that three sets of eyes were staring at him.
"Doduo." Ramon answered. He set down Anubis, giving it a final pat on the head. He then stood next to his twin, wrapping his left arm around him. "Ready to Bond?" Ramon smiled broadly at his twin.
Damon could not help but smile back. His twin often used 'bond' to describe their unique transformation power. "Of course." He answered as he wrapped his right arm around his brother's shoulder.
Each concentrated on the form they wanted to take, and their power activated. Like a pokemon about to evolve, their bodies began to glow brightly, clothes and all. Damon's left leg, and his twin's right leg, began to lengthen and strengthen with muscle. Talons began to form where their shoes and feet were. Ramon's left arm, and Damon's right arm, began to vanish as if being absorbed into themselves. Similarly, their free arms began to shrink, becomming smaller and smaller.
Ramon felt his neck began to extend upwards as his mouth elongated, form a tough beak. He felt his eyes grow in size. Damon felt itchy has tuffs of feathers began to grow around his head, replacing his hair, and around their body. Finally, the process came to and end, and a Doduo stood in the forrest by two young Riolu. Ramon always thought they looked slightly stronger than normal Doduo, with stockier legs.
It took a moment for Damon and his twin to readjust to sharing a body. There was always an initial shock of going from having his body to suddenly sharing it with his twin. And that was on top of having a completely different body structure since they were a taller and quick flightless bird. After their first transformation, Damon had researched as much as he could. It was somewhat fascinating that, no matter what form they took, they each could only manage one side of their body, the side connected to their head. And that sense of touch was restricted for each of them to that side they controlled.
However, they were well practiced at sharing a form now. "Lets run Damon!" Ramon said happily. He clawed the dirt with his taloned foot.
Damon looked back at their two stunned Riolus. "Hop on guys." he said to them.
Anubis and Osmium, after taking a moment to recover, hopped onto Damon's and Ramon's shared back.
"Hold on tight!" Damon and Ramon excitedly said in tandem. The brothers then took off at high speed through the forrest.
