“Ugh, where the hell did I end up?”
Sharper had turned into his swarm form out of instinct, but after that, he was more or less flying blind. Rubbing his head, he failed to notice he wasn’t standing on wood anymore.
“Well, at least I escaped that giant!” he said while breathing a sigh of relief. “I dunno where those other two ended up, but I hope they’re alright.”
Sharper leaned his back against what he assumed to be a wall, only to be met with something warm and… fleshy?
“Eh? What kinda wall-“ But Sharper was interrupted by the two flesh walls on either of him suddenly closing in, effectively trapping him. “Was this place boobytrapped!?”
Sharper struggled, but it was no use. If anything, his movement just made the constriction tighter. What devilish trap had he unknowingly walked into? There wasn’t much to see around him, but looking up answered his question.
“Oh.”
He stared in disbelief as the gigantic form
of a woman towered over him. He couldn’t make out her upper body due to a desk blocking the way, but at the very least he knew where he was now.
“M-Maybe she won’t notice me?” Sharper said, having now stopped any struggling in fear of being squished between her toes. Considering his size he must’ve felt like an annoying pebble to her, triggering an instinctual response from her foot. Unfortunately for him, Nami could still feel the annoyance between her toes all too well.
“Tch, did one of Usopp’s plant seeds end up in my shoe again? I swear, that guy…” She said, pushing her chair back from the table.
Sharper watched as the rest of the giant’s form became visible, along with a look of clear irritation on her face as she stared directly at where Sharper was. All he could do was gulp, as the rest of his body was frozen in fear.
Meanwhile, Petire came to a quick stop as he noticed the giant wooden chair move backward. Both Petire and Ralph heard Nami’s comment about an irritation in her shoe, instantly letting them know what Sharper had gotten himself into.
“Dammit, we were too slow. Either that or that numbskull did something stupid again.” Petire said, turning back into his human form and watching from a safe distance.
“Hey, couldn’t he just, y’know, turn into a bunch of flying insects and get outta there?” Ralph wasn’t too eager to try and attack someone as infamous as Nami, especially considering the size difference right now. Especially not when it seemed to be Sharper’s fault for getting stuck there in the first place.
Petire just sighed. “Knowing that guy, he’s probably too panicked to think straight right now. Plus, didn’t the Cat Burglar have lightning powers or somethin’? Can’t imagine that meshes too well with someone who’s a bunch of tiny bugs.”
“Heh, not wrong there. Who knows, maybe that guy’ll actually make her into an ally? We’ve gotta survive two weeks here, might as well lessen the danger while we’re at it.”
As much as Petire hated to just leave Sharper with a known pirate, Ralph wasn’t wrong. The best course of action might just be to leave the two of them alone. Until they figure out an escape plan, anyway.
“Guess that guy’s lack of marine discipline might come in handy after all! She’d probably figure out we’re marines right away if she caught us, but considering what Sharper’s like, he might be able to play it off pretty well.”
With that, Petire activated his full zoan form once again. He and Ralph booked it towards the giant door in the distance, hoping to either meet back up with the other 3 that got sent here, or do some reconnaissance around the ship.
Coming back to Sharper, he found himself in a bit of a pickle. He could always try escaping using his swarm form, but the odds of this giant just mistaking him for a bug were too high to risk. Escaping as a swarm didn’t mean much if her foot was large enough to wipe out all the insects in one go. After a few more seconds of the giant squinting at the annoyance between her toes, Sharper heard her audibly sigh. The pressure around him loosened up, finally freeing him from the confines of her toes as they separated.
“Phew, any more squeezing and I would’ve been in real trouble. Guess that’s my cue to get outta here!”
But just as Sharper was about to leap off her foot, he noticed something strange. The floor was… moving away from him? And squeezing his body was a brand new pressure!
“Gah!” Sharper yelled, having been caught between the giant’s index finger and thumb. It seems she decided to remove the annoyance herself.
He rapidly rose through the air, traveling what seemed like dozens of feet a second.
“Hm, that’s weird. Doesn’t feel hard like a seed…” The giant said as she squeezed Sharper between her fingers. The way he was oriented he couldn’t see what she looked like, but the pressure was quickly becoming too much to bear.
“H-Hey, you’re squeezing a little too hard there lady!”
The room immediately went silent as Sharper felt the repeated squeezing stop. Did she actually manage to hear him?
“Eh? Did somebody just talk?” Nami looked around, looking for the source of the noise. It was faint, but she definitely heard someone speak.
Sharper wasn’t sure if he should make his presence known, but at this point, he was out of options.
“Y-Yeah, down here. The thing you’re holding.”
Sharper felt his body quickly rotate around, making him a little dizzy. Soon enough his eyes unblurred, giving him a clear view of the gigantic pretty face taking up his field of view. He and Nami simply stared at each other for a few seconds, both brains trying to process just what they were looking at.
“Uh, hi?” Sharper meekly waved his hand, offering a friendly greeting. After all, first impressions were everything!
Unfortunately, his greeting was less important to her than the fact that she was holding a tiny person in her fingers. Nami yelled in surprise, with the shock of the situation causing her to lose her grip on Sharper. He immediately began falling through the air, heading towards an unknown fate.
