"It's about you, Mel," said Cosyt. She strode over to a desk next to Melona and sat down on it, crossing her legs beneath her slightly-too-short skirt. Melona inhaled and almost started shaking. She'd never been alone with Professor Cosyt before, and certainly not been alone with her and this close. Gods, she could reach out and--
"Mel!" said Cosyt. It wasn't a shout or a rebuke. Just a way to get Melona's attention. Melona shook herself out of her stupor.
"I'm--I'm sorry, Professor, it's just that--"
"It's fine, Mel," said Cosyt, her voice turning soft and gentle once more. "But it is important that you pay attention, because I need to say something, and it's going to affect you the most."
Melona nodded. It probably wasn't good news, but if Cosyt was the one delivering it, she could take it. "Okay, Professor," she said. "I--I--um, go ahead and tell me. If you want, I mean."
Cosyt smiled, and Melona could see her tail twitch behind her. "Well, you see, Melona, I wanted to--
