Colm couldn't believe his luck, that chump never saw him coming, now he just he just needed to sell it as soon as possible, before the old mage notice his valuable tome had disappeared.
But as he ran into camp, Colm didn't notice the figure blocking his way, so he ended up running into them, falling to the ground as the figure picked up the tome.
"Hey give that back! I found it first!" he complained as he got up, for a moment he thought the mage had followed him since the figure was wearing mage's robes but quickly noticed it was that odd girl, Lute
"You found it? I think the correct word is stole it" she accused him as she crossed her arms.
"Me steal a book? No, I just found it laying in the ground, now give it back!" he defended himself as tried to recover the book, but the mage quickly got it out of his reach.
"A common thief, ignorant, dirty and a liar no less, I don't see what use this army has for you" Lute said as she glared at Colm, "I'm certain that you don't know what this book does, why do you want it back?"
"To sell it!" Colm shouted, not caring what she think of that.
"You would sell a spellbook without even knowing what it does? You really are stupid" Lute saw no use in selling a book, after all they were made for studying, obviously the thief didn't understand that.
"Hey just because I'm not a mage it doesn't mean I'm dumb" he practically threw himself at her, desperately trying to get the book back.
"I disagree" she said as she dodge him
"Oh yeah? Then if you're so smart what does the spell do?" Colm asked, tired of the mage's arrogance.
"I don't know" Lute answer as she examined the tome, "But maybe I can find out if I test it on you, after all you should be glad a common thief can be used a test subject"
"Wait I didn't agree to anything!" Colm complained but it was too late, Lute had already casted the spell, the last thing he saw was a dark aura coming out of the book, directly aimed at him!
But when Colm opened his eyes he didn't felt anything was wrong, his body felt fine, unharmed, that meant the spell didn't work?
"What a sham! I knew that mage was a fraud!" he yelled as he threw the book to the ground, when it hit the floor it made him notice something, why did he have the book? Wasn't Lute reading it?
"Fascinating" a familiar voice said, the next thing Colm saw was... himself, picking up the book, "So this spell interchange souls? I didn't knew that was possible"
"Change souls?" Colm repeated what his double said, now noticing his voice sounded so... annoying.
When he looked down at himself Colm knew she wasn't lying, instead of his usual attire, be found short red dress and light blue cape, both exposing smooth shoulders and slim arms, covered by red and golden bracers, his feet wrapped up in purple shoes, and long logs of purple hair fell down his shoulders.
"Oh no, how is this possible?!" Colm yelled, thinking he was going mad.
"Isn't it obvious? I understand you will never reach my intellectual level but even you can understand that the book did this" Lute answered, pointing to the stolen spellbook.
