1000 years later

It's been a millennium since the first of the mutants emerged from their long slumber. Dr Straude's experiment has been a resounding success. The original mutants and their descendants have rebuilt the world, under the guidance of ATHENA and Dr. Straude's instructions. For the first time in it's existence, the Earth knows true peace.

The mutants have created their own society. Rather than separating the globe into individual countries, the whole planet is united as a single nation. The ruling body of this world is known as the Grand Council, made up of all sorts of different species, so as to prevent one single individual from wielding too much power.

Technologically, the world has advanced far beyond what humans ever created. Medicine, transportation, entertainment and many other advances have all contributed to this new world. The mutants need not worry about diseases, from the common cold to cancer, as their advanced science has discovered ways to make them immune to such maladies.

The average lifespan for the mutants is from 150 to 200 years, with a handful living even beyond that. In regards to food, herbivores still eat plants and vegetables, while carnivores may feed on the non sentient creatures that are farmed and raised for food. As far as commerce goes, any form of money is strictly forbidden, as outlined in Dr. Straude's guidelines. Money was a major factor in humanity's constant fighting, so he made sure to explicitly state not to use it. Instead, the mutants would use a trading system, be it for goods or services. Socially, there is no discrimination or hatred towards different species. Not even towards interspecies couples.

A grand event known as The Festival of the Awakening is approaching, marking the day the first mutants, known as the Precursors, woke from their Century of Silence and began to build their new society. On this day, all across the world, the mutants celebrate with parties lasting a full 24 hours.
