Enormous fingers suddenly lift her up and bring...

Carrie only has time to let out a surprised yelp before the storm cloud colored fingers curl shut around her form and carry her upwards, too fast, leaving her disoriented. The texture of them felt strange, both too smooth for normal skin and with too much give, as if pushing too hard would let her sink right into the surface, though she did no such thing despite the tight grip she was held in. As her senses catch up to her she sees she's been brought face to face with a storm giant. He's dressed in loose, graceful white clothing with silver trim to accent it in places, though the torso piece is short enough that it leaves his midriff exposed. If he were human, she would guess he was in the younger side of his thirties, though with giants that likely didn't translate well. He has strikingly blue eyes that are staring directly at her, taking in every detail of the little being he's captured as the giant's grip shifts to holding her between two fingers at her sides. After a few moments with gazes locked, Carrie's heart hammering in her chest, the giant breaks the silence... And speaks in a strange, almost musical language she doesn't recognize at all.

Carrie doesn't know what the giant said but he's staring at her, clearly expecting an answer, and so she replies with, "I'm sorry... I... I don't understand you." She had little hope her words would be any clearer to him however. The giant tilts his head as she speaks, pausing a moment longer before...
