I decide that it would be best to find someone I trust. This situation is already bad. Trying to get the attention of the giants will already be hard. Plus, who knows how they will react when they find an inch tall boy. I am just hoping one of my friends can keep their cool.
I walk to the edge of the chair. The floor is a long way down, and the only way to get there is the slick metal chair legs. I carefully lower myself down. The metal is cold to the touch. Luckily I seem to have bug-like abilities and can climb down with easy. I see the book I dropped earlier, sitting face down on the ground. In the distance, I can see the massive shoes of the teens taking their seats.
Since none of my friends are in this class, I make my way to the door. I walk past sandal-clad feet. Suddenly there is a loud clatter as a huge pencil drops right in front of me. Heart pounding, I run past it before the owner can bend over and retrieve it. I watch as Dane and Emily play footsie, giggling all the while. She proceeds to run her foot up his leg until it is resting between his legs. Flirting is so weird.
As I near the exit, I see a bug scurrying across the tile. I hold back a shutter. Small insects are bad enough, but it is even worse when they are as big as you. Before I have a chance to worry about what the bug would do to me, a sneaker comes crashing down on it as someone comes running into the classroom just as the final bell goes off.
Since everyone is in class, the halls are free of giants that might crush me. None the less I decide to stay close to the wall. I consider my options for a minute, thinking over my friend's class schedules. Megan and Maddie's first period is Foods, which is pretty close to here. Jake is in his photography class. Unfortunately, it is halfway across the building, but it may be safer than walking into a kitchen to find the twins. What should I do?
