"To set yourself up as a rival to a group of Museum Thieves known as The Bad Guys," said Chief Barkley.
Carmelita chuckled. "Seriously? The Bad Guys is what they call themselves?"
"They are good at what they do," said Chief Barkley. He brought up a file. "There's Mr. Wolf - leader of the group - very slick with his tongue. Mr. Snake - Safe-cracking extraordinary. Mrs. Tarantula - not a computer system she can't hack. Mr. Shark - stole the Mona Lisa while disguised as the Mona Lisa. Finally, Mr. Parana - the guy is crazy."
"Do I have back-up?" Carmelita asked.
"Actually, you are the back-up - the unattached member no one notices until it's time to put on the cuffs," said Chief Barkley. "In short, you're a Distraction."
"So, who am I working with?" Carmelita asked.
"Mau Paws," said Chief Barkley. "Cat knows his way around a conversation. Vincent Van Voom - that's a human who knows how to read blueprints, and can break into secure criminal bases."
"A human?" Carmelira asked. "I'm not a fan of humans."
"Deal with it, because you're going to San Francisco, and that place is full of humans."
Carmelita sighed. "Seriously? I hate that city."
"Next is Liz the Snake - best cyber security analyst I've ever worked with. Then there's Leo - that lion's a master of disguise - once delivered a drug kingpin to the police station while disguised as the fella's poodle bodyguard. Finally, we have Tina - don't be fooled by the Guinea Pig Cuteness - she has taken on small armies of criminals with nothing more than a smile, and a broken chair."
