Agritech was known for some rather outlandish marketing tactics and when it came to The Big City, they'd make no exceptions. Akena had built up a strong following online as a fitness influencer and Agritech wanted to take advantage of that. They hired her and a handful of similar influencers to participate in the "Get Big for The Big City," social media campaign. The campaign was run as a contest with the following rules; 1. Contestants had to weigh themselves at the start of the contest, and couldn't weigh in again until the end. Akena had and weighed a solid 178 pounds for the initial weigh in. 2. Contestants would be paid 1000 dollars per pound gained of weight gained. They were highly encouraged to stay healthy and focus on putting on muscle, but any weight gained would count in the end. 3. The contestant who put on the most weight would "win" and have their payout doubled.
Akena saw 3 ways of going about the contest; She could focus on just putting on muscle, and essentially just get stronger. She could balance muscle gain and fat gain and get all-around bulkier, cutting after the contest, or she could focus primarily on gaining weight, getting pretty fat, but resolving to get back in shape after the contest.
