It was a small horde of the undead that had made a hole on one of the dungeon's walls, they were a mix between skeletons and decaying corpses that still had some putrid pieces of flesh clinging to their bodies, but they were somehow managing to hold onto rusted weapons, but the horrific sight and the disgusting smell didn't turn him off or even scared him, for some reason Jonathan found himself smiling at the horde.
"Hehehe!" he found himself cackling as he raised his staff, pointing it towards the undead, a purple energy coming out of it's tip, engulfing the horde and making them stop in their tracks, "Bow! Your mistress commands it!"
As the words left his mouth, Jonathan didn't even bother to think about what he said it why he was able to cat a spell at all, he just smiled as he saw the undead lowering their weapons and bowing in front of him.
"Whoa, good job Jane, I didn't expect you to be able to control so many of them!" Satō-sama, giving 'Jane' a thumbs up.
"Hehehe, it's nothing Satō-sama" Jonathan again found himself being unable to look directly at the boy's face, the situation got worse when he noticed his own face was getting hotter, a blush appearing as he desperately tried to keep his eyes glued to the ground.
"Big sis is amazing!" he suddenly felt something landing on his back, a tiny grip on his shoulders, turning his head to see the little girl had climbed on his back, pressing her face against his back, for a moment he just felt annoyed, wanting to throw the squirt to the ground, but that thought disappeared as he noticed Satō was looking at him and smiling.
"Rachel thinks this is disgusting" the tall woman said, making the new necromancer look at her, she was looking at the undead and shaking her head, "A warrior shouldn't be brought back to life, they should enjoy the afterlife not...this torture!"
"Every story deserves an ending" Masa added from behind Rachel, her cats ears perking up as she took a hand to her back.
"Their souls aren't there, you idiots! I just make the corpses move! It would be a waste to let go a perfectly good boot just because you lose the socks!" Jonathan found himself yelling, didn't they just understand he was doing this to please Satō-sama?
"They don't have boots!" Keya said, pointing to the corpses' bony feet.
"I'm not speaking literally, you ditzy bimbo!" he yelled once again, starting at the elf who just kept looking at the undead's feet, stroking her chin.
"Big sis, is necromancy wrong? Are they suffering?" Aya said, still on his back, pointing to skeletons as tear fell down her face.
"Of course not! It's a magic school as valid as any other!" Jonathan yelled, that thought being copied into his mind alongside the names of the party members.
"No, it's not!" Rachel shouted, holding her club up, "Even Rachel knows you're lying, this is not like regular magic!"
"She's right, a valid form of magic would be healing a wound or covering your enemies in flames, this is just twisted" Masa said, looking directly at Jonathan.
"Oh really? And what's not twisted in what you do? Waiting for the right moment to stab someone in the back? What if there's a trap here that you just 'forget' to deactivate, Masa? Wouldn't that be twisted?" Jonathan smirked as he held his chin high, his hands still on his staff, turning his attention to the party's warrior, "And you, dirty gorilla? You could go nuts here, taking advantage of the dim light and just swing at in the wrong direction? Just a tiny twisted accident!"
"What's a gorilla?" asked Keya, finally losing interesting in the undead's footing, now fascinated by the new word.
"Shut up, Keya! Don't even get me started with you!" Jonathan yelled, gripping his staff with even more strength, completely focusing on her scantly covered chest, how dare she dress like that in Satō-sama's presence!?
"B-big sis?" Aya asked, more tears forming now on her face, clinging with more strength to his back.
"Please all of you, calm down!" Satō said, getting himself between Jane and the other party members, "I understand some of you don't like this idea, but if the rumors are true, this place is full of undead soldiers, too many to fight them so we need Jane's help to not be slaughtered by the horde, so please can you not try to fight eachother right now?"
The words of this stranger once again made him feel weird, forcing himself to look away as he looked to the ground, "Y-yes, for you anything, Satō-sama"
"Fine, Rachel will obey" the warrior said, lowering her weapon as she let out a sigh.
"I suppose there's no use in fighting a party member" Masa shrugged as she looked away.
"Wait, there's more of those things here?" Keya shouted, pointing to the putrid undead, grimacing as she covered her nose.
"Yes, this place is filled with them" Satō nodded, then turning his attention back to their necromancer, "What do you think, Jane? Are they being controlled by another necromancer or some kind of curse?"
"Mmm" Jonathan raised an eyebrow as he looked at his minions, he somehow was able to defend his new powers, something in his current brain apparently was wired that way, as his apparent infatuation by this random guy, but knowing the cause of this? He had no idea why the dead were walking, or why he could so easily control them, but if it was easy to him that meant it had to be some kind of curse and not another necromancer, "I think it's soke kind of curse, maybe an artifact some grave robber activated by accident?"
"Okay, so we search for it and destroy it, try to be mind where you step, there's not a lot of light here and for what the locals told us there could be some traps laying around to catch intruders, not to mention the lack of lights and that the place is full of walking corpses" Satō looked directly behind Jonathan, "Aya-chan, would you mind walking with me? We will need your light to guide us"
"Yes, big brother!" Aya said, jumping down Jonathan's back as she ran next to Satō, holding his hand they walked into the hole the undead had made, the dim light covering both of them as the party followed them, all except Jonathan.
"Aya..." he said, gritting his teeth as he saw the little girl holding hands with Satō-sama, he expected one of the bitches on the party to do that, but the adorable little girl? It seems he couldn't trust anyone in this party.
Or at least that's what he thought until his eyes landed on one of the skeletons, still kneeling next to him, a smirk grew on Jonathan's face as he placed a finger on the undead's chin, lifting it's head up and starting into his empty eye sockets, "It seems everyone had betray me, even Aya-chan, but you would never betray your mistress, would you?" the skeleton gave no answer but Jonathan moved his finger, making the skull shake from side to side, "That's right, you're loyal to me, and you will help me get rid of the traitors, you'll tore them limb by limb!" he smirked, now placing both hands on the skull, still looking straight into the empty, and then his smirk disappeared, "What's that? Too obvious, you say? Right... right, we need to make it look like an accident" Jonathan nodded to the idea, gripping his staff and commanding his followers to stand up.
But before entering the hold, he took on e last look at the bedroom they had found, did someone use it recently? Was there something other than undead waiting for them? It wouldn't be the weirdest thing that happened this day for the young man turned sorceress, but he had not time to think about that, he had finally understood why he had being resurrected, he had to win Satō-sama's heart and kill every who opposed their love!
