Kate Shinosaki was a human that was orphaned with her little sister Luna. With nowhere to go or any opportunity to provide for her little sister, Kate decided to volunteer as a maidbot. She heard that she could get paid for her services and have an advanced body that would help her care for her sister better. Not only that, there was a chance that her sister can have a better life. After signing up an application and consenting a lot of things, she along with Luna were transported to the planet.
"Hey Kate! If you're gonna be a robot, think we can watch movies out of you?" Luna asked.
Luna was only 10 years old with long wavy black hair and a ribbon on top of it. Even though she was aware of the process, she tried to hide her worries by asking innocent questions about the matter or trying to cheer up. Kate knew that Luna was slightly worried.
"I'll ask them if it is possible." Kate said as she brush off her black ponytail. The girl was about 18 years old and her orphanage kicked her out as she was of age. However, they agreed to let Luna tag along since it's just that type of place.
"Maybe I could join you?" Luna asked.
"No way! All you got to worry about is living your life for yourself! Not for anyone else!" Kate said before facepalming herself. "Not that I'm one to talk."
"I was joking!" Luna said.
"They agreed that as long as I work in the station, I can also be your servant when I'm done with my training." Kate said. "I don't know if there will be kids there but I know you'll be cared for."
"I see..." Luna said as they made their stop.
"Volunteers, follow me!" a maid bot said.

Much later, Kate was in a room with other volunteers who were converted. Kate could see from a window that her sister was watching her lose her humanity little by little. Anesthetics were applied to her as she started to feel numb all over. From what she could see from the side, she saw the volunteers have nanobots crawl onto parts of the body that were dissected or about to be dissected with robotic limbs attached to them. Kate closed her eyes as she was going to deal with the process as well.
When Kate woke up, she found herself feeling hard. It's hard to describe but she did not feel fleshy anymore. Her vision was static like until it cleared with a mirror in front of her. She saw herself as herself but in a maid outfit. She had a basic black dress with frilly skirts and edges along with a frilly headdress. While she looked like herself, her face was more shiny with no blemishes.
"Whoa!" said a voice.
Kate looked to the side and saw Luna who looked amazed by her new look. She felt her sister hug her but it was different from before and the little girl noticed. While Maid Bots are huggable, one can still feel the metal at times.
"I just had to watch you become a maidbot! Seeing your brain and all was so cool and the maidbots in the area told me how things work and and..." Luna said.
"Luna, it's fine." Kate assured. "I'm feeling okay but it feels odd."
"Oh... But you look cute." Luna said.
"As expected of a maidbot of course." said another voice.
The two looked and saw what appeared to be a mature looking Maidbot. Someone who stood above the majority of the bots around the area. The bot bowed and greeted.
"I am the Head Maidbot (HM). Kate my dear, you are lucky that I get to mentor you in your journey to be a maidbot." HM said.
"Hello." Kate said.
"My my... definitely got a lot to learn. Especially how you greet others." HM said. "I can't hold it against you since you were reborn just now."
"You look pretty." Luna said.
"Thank you dear. Now, I must train your sister and the others. My little sister shall lead you to your quarters. It is an honor to have organic citizens in our humble home. While you are a child, we do have a job that I know you could fulfill as well." HM said.
"Oh right..." Kate said as she had a worried look on Luna.
Being a citizen in Maidbot space is easier than most places but often times it requires the citizen to have a job or role with a small placement test. No matter the age. One that a child could do was be a mock master of sorts. Have models test out their skills in serving a master with live subjects. In this case, Luna is kind of someone who test models with some school on the side. Even though she has connections with Kate, lazy citizens are not that encouraged. Maybe she can do more if allowed to or volunteer as a maidbot when she is ready.
"For a child that got a high score on the placement test, I wish we got a better opportunity for you but most of them are for adults. We don't have many citizens here, let alone children. So I hope you understand until we figure something out." HM said. "Especially with your schooling."
"It's alright." Luna said.
"As long as she is safe." Kate said.
"I assure you, if any harm was done to Luna in the process, we will take responsibility." HM assured before a maidbot with the appearance of a child with long blond hair appeared.
"Model LI-SI-SIS01-393032063013i, Sari for short. I shall serve you until your sister is ready." Sari said with a bow. "Please follow me, Lady Luna."
"Oh... okay." Luna said before she looked at Kate. "See you Kate."
"Don't worry. I'll visit you when I'm done with training for the day." Kate said.
