Daniel turned his way around, stepping up and bringing his sword ready. Although in truth his sword would be useless against anything that was his previous height. He knows just how useless tinies are compared to those bigger.
He grabbed his sword and aimed it at the threat, only to realize it wasn’t so much of a threat. Even at the size he currently was.
“Who are you?” he asks as he pushes the sword forward. The creature fell it's way down. laying down and holding its hand.
“No Mister! No!” She said in an accent. It was... slurred, almost hard to understand, and defiantly different from the humans of Cassier. “I just wanted a look at you. I don’t have so good eyes far away.”
Daniel took another sight at the girl in front of him. She was... a Trog. That was obvious from her body. Skinny, almost unhealthy so. A hunch and a body that has developed over generations of hiding in the ground. She had long unkempt brown hair and was filthy. Covered in dirt and something else that Daniel wasn’t really sure about. Not only that, but she also smelled terrible.
“Stand up Trog, you are no threat to me,” Daniel said pulling his sword back.
“R-Right you are Mister!” The girl said, standing tall. She would have been around six inches under him in normal height. However, at tiny Daniel didn’t know the comparison. The hunch defiantly didn’t help her.
“You’re naked Trog. Don’t you even have clothes?” Even the Neanderthals had clothes on them, even if they were just leaves.
“No Mister! We gotta keep our bodies covered in dirt so we can hide better!” Looking down at her, Daniel noticed something that he didn’t really notice before. She was naked. Covered in dirt, but still showing off both of her breasts and their nipples. As well as the area between her legs.
“Whatever,” Daniel said, before turning back to the market. How is he going to get past this? He doesn’t want to get spotted by any races. If he grew back to normal, he would be hunted down by these enemies b-”
“This is sharp!” Turning around he could see the Troglodyte, now holding his sword. Touching it and stabbing her finger.
“What, how did you get that!?” Daniel was sure he sheathed it. Grabbing it from her she backed up.
“Sorry, Mister! It was just so shiny!” She said to him. “Look I know it’s tempting to carry shiny things, but they get us spotted! You need to rub it into the dirt.”
“Stupid...” He said at the girl before calming down. “What’s your name?”
“Zer.”
“Right Zer, my name is Daniel. I’m curious, have you seen another human around here.”
“Human!” She said down. “Is that you are?” She said. “But humans aren’t tiny!”
“Well, this one is,” Daniel said simply, not willing to play games with this idiot. “His name is Millie and she’s a friend of mine. She got brought down here. Have you seen her?”
Zer tilted her head, as Daniel sighed.
“Should have expected that.” He looked back. “Leave me alone Trog.”
Zer looked at the human in front of her. Even though she was told to leave, the uneducated Troglodyte wasn’t gonna. She just looked at the human. “Do Humans wear fancy clothes?”
Daniel didn’t even bother giving that response. Until he heard something that caught his attention.
“Does this mean something?” She pointed to a symbol on his outfit.
“The symbol of the Aurors.”
“I’ve seen it before!” Daniel’s eyes went wide turning to face the Trog. “Although it was bigger than?”
“Zer, where did you see it?” It’s the only lead you have.
“Around.” She said. “It’s over there, and then I crawled through there, and turned this way there. It was over there!” Daniel was shocked at the stupidity of this girl. At least Tomkins got basic education, compared to this girl.
“Take me there.” He said to her. If it’s Millie’s he will know.
Zer looked up to her, before wearing a smile. “Sure thing Mister, just follow me!” She turned around and walked. Daniel looked at the market as he followed her. The two tinies walked down as Daniel kept his sword ready.
“Down!” Zer shouted as she got down onto her belly. Daniel looked at her, before doing the same.
Good thing too, cause a Gorgon slithered her way past. The woman probably kill the two if she found them.
“You heard her before I did?” That was a first for him.
“I got really good ears. Can’t see too good though Mister.” She said.
“It’s Daniel, but you can keep calling me Mister.” He said. It’s not that he’s trying to be rude to the Trog girl, however, he doesn’t want to linger here. He knows the fate of those in this place. This girl probably won’t even last it past the week before being the prey of some Harpie.
“Through here!” Zer said showing him the place. Looking down, he wasn’t impressed. It was a dirt hole, much like the one he came in through. Peaking in, it seemed to go far further than he thought.
“Did you dig this yourself?”
“All of us Trog’s dig around. This path was made before I was here and stuff.” It was that old. Well there had to be some way for Trog’s to avoid predators, so you guess digging through dirt was the best way. These holes were so small, only they could get through.
“You go first Trog... Zer.” She’s showing him around, Daniel should show her the courtesy of using her name.
The Trog went through, and you followed her through the tunnel. It was meant for a Trog, and not a tiny human. Your back was bent over cause the ceiling wasn’t that tall.
Wherever this path led, he could potentially find a clue to what happened to Millie. Following his new guide, what does Daniel find on the other side? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
