She wanted to spend time with her daughter and god damn it, they were going to spend time together. Beth took a deep breath before marching back into the living room. Summer was now sprawled out on the couch, still texting on her phone.
"Summer, would you put that down real quick and help me with something." Beth said, hip cocked and portal gun held at the ready.
Summer huffed as she spared her mom a glance. But her eyes widened when she caught sight of the portal gun. "Woah mom, you snagged grandpa's portal gun?"
"I may have persuaded your grandfather to loan me his spare for a mother/daughter day." Beth grinned to herself as Summer all but scrambled off the couch. But the awe soon faded as she eyed the gun suspiciously.
"Since when does grandpa have a spare portal gun he lets you use?" She glanced up at her mother. Beth cursed in her head as that was a bit of a red flag. Rick didn't just do nice things for people. She racked her mind for something believable.
"This one is upgraded to preview a world before hand but for your grandfather that would be an insult to his intellects." The excuse rolled off the tongue like butter as Summer ate it up, rolling her eyes with a smirk.
"So it is a portal gun for babies. Figures he would forget about this thing." Summer hummed, stuffing her phone in her pocket before waltzing up to her mom's side. "So does this time let you preview worlds?"

"Anywhere you want to go."
"Can we go-" At that moment Summer's stomach choose to put in it's two cent, rumbling loudly. Her cheeks went red as a rose before continuing. "Somewhere with food?"
Beth couldn't help but chuckle. "How about we go grab lunch with this thing as a test run before try something fun. It is Rick and I would rather be safe then sorry then out right trust him."
Summer nodded, as she cling to her arm staring expectantly at the display. She stared at the inputs for a moment before typing in, "Somewhere perfect for Summer and Beth to relax". Her daughter's grin grow as did her own. The second parameter was a bit harder as she struggled to come up with something. And all at once, it popped into her head.
"Best food in the multiverse."
"What did you think?" She asked as Summer smirked.
"Prefect," Summer hummed. "I can't wait to see what the best food in the multiverse is like."
"Me neither." Beth said, raising the gun and firing it. A bright splotch of green gunk burst into a swirling portal. The two looked on in awe as they found themselves face to face with a
