Clothes switch

"Sophie! Can you come upstairs and help me for a minute before you leave?" his mother yelled from the top of the stairs.

Seeing his sister slam the door in front of his face he knew he wouldn't be able to catch up with her now as he didn't even have any shoes on so reluctantly assumed the role his mother though he was which unfortunately for him was his sister, and decided to help "Sure mom!" as he made his way up the stairs.

Finding his mother in her room she was halfway through getting changed for the day he attempts to look away being completely embarrassed as this is the first time he has seen his mother partially dressed since he was 12. "Honey I'm going to need you to help get Tina ready this morning as I'm running late."

"Okay mom I'll do it now" Terry agreed just so he didn't have to be alone with his mother in her undressed state.

Heading down the hallway to Tina's room he felt the swishing of the skirt around him with every step fully regretting putting it on as a joke and now being stuck as Sophie until he can catch up with her at school and swap back. He really didn't want to pretend to be his sister all day and how embarrassing it would be if he got exposed as not really being her.

Tina was sound asleep in her crib that she was really starting to grow out of. Reaching over he tries to shake her awake "Tina time to wake up" he says softly trying not to scare her awake.

Tina starts to stir and looks up at Terry and has a confused expression on her face. "Tewwi why you dwessed as Sawah?" she questions through her pacifier.

Damn thought Terry, if his baby sister was able to see he wasn't Sophie there was no way he would be able to get through school like this. Thinking on his feet "Sophie and I are playing a game on Mommy, we are pretending to be each other and wait for her to realize we not who we are pretending to be."

"Oh fwun I wanna pway as wewl" Tina giggled with a big smile on her face.

Realizing he has just caused another issue right now he needs to think of a way out of this situation and fast. "Tina it is only a game that big kids can play" hoping that will stop her.

Letting the pacifier drop out of her mouth and hang still attached to her nightie "But I am a big kid, I'm getting my big girl bed soon!" she started pouting "If you don't let me play I'm telling mommy!" she says crossing her arms having one of her little tantrums.

Not wanting her to start screaming he relents "Okay you can play but not now not until mommy realizes that it is really me pretending to be Sophie then the game starts over again and you can play then" Hoping that this explanation will placate the 4 year old "But if you tell mommy that I'm really Terry and not Sophie then you can't play it as it would be breaking the rules."

Tina scrunches up her face like she was thinking hard. "Okay I won't tell mommy but I play next game!" She demanded.

"Of course now lets get you ready for the day" as he lowers the crib side to pull her out and over to the changing table. Removing her wet night time diaper and putting a pull up on her he thinks of a way to get out of fully getting her ready, "Now why don't you show me how much of a big kid you are and get ready all by yourself?".

"Okay Sophie" Tina giggles as she rushes to get herself changed and dressed.

Just as Tina is dressed and looking like she is ready for the day their mother enters the room looking ready for the day. "Thanks honey I really appreciate it" putting the last of her earrings in. "Do you need a ride to school? I don't want you running late".

Terry thinks about it for a moment. First he doesn't want to go to school with how easily Tina discovered he wasn't Sophie so would be horrified if somebody else discovers he was pretending to be his sister and second if he accepts the ride he might be able to beat Sophie to school and get her to swap back before the day begins.
