What defines the Lilliputian race? Some might say their intelligence, conservatism, tight-knit families, their hatred towards their identical counterparts the Blefuscudians, or their vast numbers. However, most know them for one thing and one thing only. That being, their insignificance. Being the smallest race meant none of them mattered. In the eyes of most Brobs and some Gullis, they were just insects destined to forever live meaningless lives. Not worth even a fraction of their attention. And that was the life they lived. Almost all of the trillions of Lilliputians are destined to live and die as worthless mites.
Gregor Samsa however, refused to be one of these mites. As one of 10 children in a Blefuscudian immigrant household , he experienced neglect from his parents who had to divide their attention among their offspring. Driven by a deep desire to be noticed, Samsa’s ambition intensified with age. Facing discrimination from larger races and his classmates due to his Blefuscudian heritage, he dreamed of a life filled with opulence and fame. His aspiration included overlooking the world from a high-rise penthouse in Brobdignag, and earning respect from even the wealthiest Brobs.
Samsa devoted much of his life to academics, sacrificing sleep and sanity for tests. Graduating from a prestigious Lilliputian university, he secured a position as an investment analyst at Akiwa Investments, the world's largest mixed-sized company. Despite challenges from the dominating Brobdingnagians, Samsa aimed to climb the corporate ladder.
However, his family was uneasy about his choice due to the rumored accidents and disappearances of Lilliputian employees at Akiwa. Dismissing their concerns, Samsa moved to Flanflasnic, the largest city in Brobdingnag.
A year later, the 22-year-old stands before the Lilliputian entrance of the colossal Akiwa tower in Flanflasnic. To his diminutive perspective, the tower is like the size of a continent , soaring into the sky. Today brings a momentous occasion – as last night he received an email from Himari Akiwa herself, requesting a meeting to discuss a potential promotion in her office.
