This choice: Cocoyasi Village, Nami's hometown • Go Back...Chapter #5Green, Orange, and Blue by: TAT Cocoyasi Village was a quaint little island mostly known for their tangerine exports. At least that’s how it was in the past. Presently it has become more famous for a different reason. Maybe infamous would be a better word for it. Since this rural island is now the homebase of the vicious Pirate Arlong of the Fishman Pirates.
Although Arlong might not be considered a pirate for the government at this time because his crimes were exonerated. Thus giving him free domain to make this place his base and no one dares to oppose him. But that’s enough about the tyrannical Fishman. The key figure of this land is not the sharkman, but the Nami instead.
Nami, the orange haired thief girl, is probably the most gifted Navigator in the world as far you are concerned. You can't picture anyone better to start your journey with. There's a small issue with her. She's currently forced to labor under the malicious Arlong and his crew with no form of escape available to her.
But that's where you come in. It might take some planning, but with the right application of some good luck over here and some bad luck over there and you're sure that things will work out.
Luckily enough, when the merchant ship docked on the island, Arlong and his followers where out at sea. Probably pillaging some poor bastards or making some underhanded deals with low ranking Marines. Either way the merchants were able to unload their goods and pick up a new stock of fruit without difficulties. From the dock, you watched the ship sail away into the sunset.
Its Captain was quite beautiful, but when you think about Nami. Well, let's just say that she can't compare. Now, time to locate the target.
For someone of your diminished size, hiking all the way to the Tangerine Farm on the outskirts of town, was quite exhausting. You could've probably shortened the trip significantly with the correct application of Luck, but it’s best to conserve it for now. The worst thing that could happen is to suddenly run out of good Luck by spending it carelessly. No, you're going to need plenty of Luck to make things work the way you need it.
You reached the Farm and there you spotted her. The person you came out here to find. She had a slim waist, wide hips, and a highly curvaceous figure. Though her most outstanding features were the tattoos on shoulder and her striking blue-violet hair. It was Nojiko, Nami's adoptive sister.
From the start, you figured out that if you wanted Nami, you'll have to start with Nojiko. Not only is she someone Nami trusts, she's also quite capable herself. So you figured that she's the key and if you play your cards right, both sisters might join you on your journey. In fact her level-headedness is an excellent quality for a second in command or fist mate.
So here's the plan. You're going to introduce yourself to the Tangerine farmer as the friendly Leprechaun that you are. You're going to demonstrate your powers and get her to side with the idea of taking down Arlong and freeing Nami. Then if she's so inclined invite her along as well.
It all should work out, right?
1) It does work out. Your Luck gets Arlong captured by the Marines and both sisters join with you on the journey.
2) You fail to use your Luck correctly. Not only did you fail. But now out of Luck, you fall into the lowest spot in the hierarchy.
3) As you try to execute the plan, your Luck reacts in an unforseen way. Attracting an unexpected person to Cocoyasi Village and Arlong Park. How will this affect the strategy? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
