While most of those on the beach are in shock and staring at the vehicle-sized seagull, two friends saw what happened and make their way to the discarded bottle of Jumbo Gro.
“You ever seen anything like that before?” asked a surly, 3 inch long crab as he poked at the bottle with one claw.
“Never,” answered a young lady sea turtle. She was only about 6 inches long and neither of them were big enough to garner much notice.
“You think that stuff would make us grow too?” the crab asked. “I’d like to be a really big guy for a change. Maybe shove around some of those jerk humans or go out in the surf and mess with some of the sharks.”
“Don’t be silly,” the turtle responded. “What would you possibly do if you got that big? You’d be bored of it after an hour and then you’d be stuck all huge. And you’d be too big to hang out with me anymore.”
“You could always grow with me.”
The sea turtle pictured herself, huge and majestic, swimming among the whales while all the other turtles worshipped her like a queen. Then she saw herself on land, a mountain of a woman, doing as she pleased.
“No, that would be silly,” but she still stares at the bottle.
