“BACK! BACK!!” Billy continued to shriek, whipping his discarded underwear at the dinosaur-sized cat. It was actually working, the cat was rearing back and whipping its head to and fro, following the boxers’ movement and unsure how to proceed.
WRRRSSHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
A horrendously loud sound suddenly thundered through the air, causing Billy to fall to the ground, clutching his ears in pain. He had no idea what was going on, the sound was familiar, but at his size too hard to place. The cat leapt forward, and Billy closed his eyes, figuring the fight was over. He was going to be killed.
Tremors pulsed through the ground below, but Billy ignored them as he chanced opening his eyes. He got up and turned around. The cat was seemingly gone. Billy cheered, until the earth-shaking quakes became more and more violent. Suddenly like a jolt in his mind, he realized what the sound was. The toilet! Panicking, the boy turned back around to the bathroom door, just in time for everything to go black.
CRUNCH!
As she stepped out of the bathroom Patty felt something give beneath her. The tired mother lifted her left foot up behind her and made a face at the reddish-brown splotch on the sole of her slipper. What kind of bug was that? She considered scraping it, but she didn’t want to get the carpet dirty and she was due for a new pair of slippers anyway. With a sigh she walked on, getting ready to start the day.
If she had looked closer she would’ve made out the remains of her only son, mashed and mangled into the various hairs and debris that littered the sole of her slipper.
