Harper took note of the scene, using a well trained eye to pick up on the details.
The ground had been soft from a recent rain, leaving tracks in the now dried mud; with this, he could see a trail of pawprints belonging to something on all fours coming towards a set of human foot prints. He could tell the human tried to flee, but a struggle ensued. Nearby were wet, partially dissolved clothes; it didn't take much for him to realize that they'd been belched out by a particularly predatory Pokemon.
Given all this, Harper deduced that he was likely tracking a Type 1 Anthro with at least the Vore Variant. The size of the paw prints also told him that the Pokemon was either a naturally large species, or one that also had Variant that led to larger body sizes, such as Macro or Amazon.
He couldn't tell much more from this, so he decided to carefully trail the tracks leading away from the scene, hoping to find more evidence of the predator, and possibly recruit some friendly wild Pokemon to help when he did encounter his quarry.
