This choice: Go south, towards the other parts of the farm • Go Back...Chapter #3Heading south along the farm pasture. by: sneakyk The pasture around you is a vast and frightful expanse of green, with mighty animals literally looming large regardless of which way you choose to go. the natural path forward would be to make your way towards the woman atop the Rapidash...but approaching the farmhouse could prove extremely perilous. You're likely to encounter a canine or feline of some sort lurking around the barn, and you can only imagine they'd be more inclined to terrorize you than a herbivore might. Yes, a tiny fur-free human-shaped rat that couldn't even defend itself would make for an attractive target to claim as prey, indeed.
You weigh your options carefully before deciding that the most effective strategy would be to navigate towards a place that is less likely to be heavily traveled. Judging by the distant dirt patch to the south, you assume the farm to be a mixed farm, featuring both a pasture for Pokemon and fields of soil for plants. If you navigate south, you may be able to get away from the grazing herbivores and take shelter among the dirt as you ponder your next move. With that in mind, you hop off of the bottle and make your way south, or at least, the direction you think is south.
As you traverse southwards, the occasional shadow of a passing Starly or Staravia passes over you, giving you pause. The grass may impair your movement and obstruct your vision, but it's also tall enough to provide you with visual cover from the birds. You ponder if it really is wise to forego its shelter in favor of the dirt. However, by now you've lost sight of the nearby grazing Pokemon, and you don't exactly remember how far away the bottle is. You know for a fact that you haven't reversed direction, but knowing which direction you're heading can only get you so far when it comes to navigation. Nervous about the consequences of retreat, you continue southwards.
As you continue to move south, you feel a strange tingling down your spine. Are you being watched? By bugs, perhaps, you think, but you don't hear the telltale sounds of footfalls headed your way, nor has a bird gone for the swoop. You turn over your shoulder, then turn to the left, wondering what could possibly be going on. Right and left you turn, stirred by distant grunts and footfalls and wingbeats from the local fauna. And as you examine your surroundings, you begin to realize that you're getting just a little lost. No worries. You can be sure that the patch of soil to the south isn't too far off. Even if you've lost your sense of direction, you know that the field of planting soil is no doubt massive, and it would be hard indeed to miss it.
As you continue southward(or at least, you think you're traveling southward...), you eventually begin to hear the sounds of an approaching Pokemon.... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
